If there are any requests for buddy reads in January, please list them here so I can get the threads started for y'all!

Carole Jarvis | 145 comments My goal is to read the Yada Yada Prayer Group series in 2024. I read the first two books many years ago and they were wonderful. Life changing, even. So I'd like to start over and read them all. Would love to have company in reading.

Book #1 is The Yada Yada Prayer Group.

Great series! I've read them all.

Natalie (creativecountry0407gmailcom) | 440 comments Does anyone want to read Knowing You (Pictures of the Heart, #3) by Tracie Peterson with me?

message 5: by Heather (new)

Heather | 77 comments Carole, that’s my favorite series. I’ve read them all too. Make sure to read the House of Hope series after you’re done. It’s absolutely amazing! It’s a spin-off with the same characters (mostly making side appearances), and new main characters. Enjoy your books! If you want to discuss them, I’d love to talk about them. I read them from the library, so I can’t remember every detail, but I’d love to walk down memory lane with them. Perhaps someone can make a thread for this series.

I'd love to read the first book with you! If I enjoy it, I'll happily continue with the series with you. Can we plan to take all of January for the first book, or what type of schedule did you have in mind for completing each book?

Kate (liahonagirl) | 3626 comments Mod
I will go ahead and make a thread for The Yada Yada Prayer Group (the first book) starting on 1 January. If you'd like to continue the series as Buddy Reads, you can let me know in later months.🙂

message 8: by Carole (new)

Carole Jarvis | 145 comments I appreciate the recommendations and am excited to have company on this journey!

Crystal, I have no particular schedule in mind, just whatever works best for all who are interested.

Heather, I knew about the spin-off and hope to make it through that group also. I read the first two books just for pleasure, then got over committed when I started reviewing books and never found time to continue the series. Now that I've retired from review blogging, I'm trying to go back and read books that had a spiritual impact on me.

Carole Jarvis | 145 comments Natalie wrote: "Does anyone want to readKnowing You (Pictures of the Heart, #3) by Tracie Peterson with me?"

Natalie, I'll try to make time to read it. It looks like I can get it through Hoopla, so I won't have a library wait. The book's theme interests me.

Carole & Natalie . . . when you figure out what kind of timeline works for you for 'Knowing You', I'll go ahead and get that thread started for you!

message 11: by Natalie (new)

Natalie (creativecountry0407gmailcom) | 440 comments I'm hoping for the middle of next month because I've still have to read a decent amount of Midnight Sea (Aloha Reef #4) by Colleen Coble .wh about 1/10/-1/31 if I have my copy?
