Shruti Gupta (shrutigupta0502) I would really like to review books for free as I want to encourage more people to write but unfortunately I don't have a kindle.

Karen Klink (karenklink) | 15 comments I don't understand. Why do you need an e-reader to read books? If you can't afford to buy the book, there's always the library. Plus, I and other readers find books at places like Goodwill, often for less than a dollar. Amazon doesn't require you read from an e-reader or buy from them, only that you give an unbiased review.

It is free to download the Kindle App on your phone or tablet. You do have to give Amazon a debit/credit card number, but they really will not charge you. I've done it before I got my actual Kindle. In fact I still have the app on my phone and tablet. Honestly, there's not much difference.
Also, you don't necessarily need a kindle to review books for free. Authors might give out pdf's and you can't read those on Kindle anyway. I still suggest you download the kindle app anyway.

Alistair Graves | 17 comments If you are restricted to Windows, you can use Icecream Ebook Reader (which is free) for PDF and EPUB formats.
Additionally, and, while we are in the subject, if you are interested in a free e-book (although it is neither fantasy nor sci-fi) for you to review, I would gladly give you mine. I've been told it is a good read (if you don't mind a few steamy scenes here and there).

You won't be able to review on Amazon unless you spend $50 a year. Or do you mean review on Goodreads, but you can't read the books? All retailers have an app associated with reading their books, you don't need a specific device. It depends where you are buying books from.
