Darkpaw blinked sleepily. "Well. Why don't we visit? We can wait by the river," he murmured, linking tails with Frostpaw. The she-cat let out an appreciative purr and pressed gently on Darkpaw's side.

message 52: by Dragonmoon257 (new)

Dragonmoon257 "All right, I guess," mewed Inkpaw.

message 53: by [deleted user] (new)

"Race you," Darkpaw purred, taking off through the opening.

"Shall we?" Frostpaw asked Inkpaw.

message 54: by Dragonmoon257 (new)

Dragonmoon257 "Sure!" Inkpaw grinned, and raced off after Darkpaw.

message 55: by [deleted user] (new)

Frostpaw took off, sprinting, following the two.

(TO THE RIVER MY GALLANT STEED!)

message 56: by Dragonmoon257 (new)

Dragonmoon257 Inkpaw and Sunkit sleepily walked in after a long day of trudging around. "I promise that we'll see Willowstar tomorrow. And we'll visit Dapplemoon's den. Okay?" Inkpaw said before licking her little sister. Sunkit nodded gratefully. They slept almost instantly, and huddled up close together through the night.

message 57: by [deleted user] (new)

Frostpaw yawned tiredly. The storm outside raged on, and she and Darkpaw were soaked to the bone. She spotted Inkpaw and Sunkit, asleep, and made a silencing motion with her tail. Darkpaw stopped mid-yawn and nodded. The two padded quietly over to Darkpaw's empty nest.

message 58: by Dragonmoon257 (new)

Dragonmoon257 Inkpaw woke up in the middle of the night. Frostpaw and Darkpaw had apparently arrived, and were fast asleep. She longed to see Oakpaw again. Eventually she managed to get some more rest.

message 59: by [deleted user] (new)

Frostpaw woke as the early dawn lit the sky. The rain outside droned on in an incessant hum. Still, life had to go on. And besides, Frostpaw loved rain. She stared at it for a few moments, caught up in memories.

message 60: by Dragonmoon257 (new)

Dragonmoon257 Inkpaw stretched out, happy to feel the warm body of Sunkit resting next to her. She saw Frostpaw staring at the cool sheets of rain outside the den. "Hi Frostpaw," she whispered, slowly getting up. "It's beautiful, isn't it?"

message 61: by [deleted user] (new)

"Isn't it? I love rain, the way it falls but seems to melt into the dirt before impact. Like it can find secret tunnels underground." Frostpaw watched the silvery screen of water that always changed, always seemed to reflect her moods.

message 62: by Dragonmoon257 (new)

Dragonmoon257 Inkpaw brushed lightly against Frostpaw. "Frostpaw, Darkpaw has been really obsessed with you lately. I have the feeling he wants to ask you to be his mate," she said in a hushed voice. "He really loves you."

message 63: by [deleted user] (new)

"He asked me already. I said yes. And he's not obsessed, he just cares." Frostpaw blushed, her blue eyes turning bright with embarrassment.

message 64: by Dragonmoon257 (new)

Dragonmoon257 Inkpaw grinned. "You don't have to be shy about it. I kind of care about Oakpaw, too."

message 65: by [deleted user] (new)

"What will you do? You two can't keep meeting in secret. We'll keep them unknown, of course, but one day… one day…" Frostpaw sighed and shook her head. "You're not supposed to even know each other. I mean, honestly. If you're discovered, what will happen?"

message 66: by Dragonmoon257 (new)

Dragonmoon257 "I like him, that's for sure, but I don't know if it's love like yours yet. We've only just met. I might see him at the next Gathering. But, if it becomes as intense as you and Darkpaw, I don't know what we'll do." Inkpaw sighed.

message 67: by [deleted user] (new)

"I've seen the way he looks at you. Like you're his savior sent from StarClan." Frostpaw tilted her head to look outside again. "You know another thing about raindrops? They're always changing, always forming new shapes on the ground, building on one another. Like you, when you build on your emotions, your memories. That's what makes you strong, Inkpaw. When the time comes, you will know what to do."

message 68: by Dragonmoon257 (new)

Dragonmoon257 Inkpaw looked at Frostpaw happily. "I love it when you talk philosophically to me!" she giggled softly. "I love raindrops."

Sunkit stirred, only to see Frostpaw and Inkpaw chatting. She whispered, "Inkpaw? Frostpaw?"

Inkpaw swiveled around. "Oh, hi Sunkit."

message 69: by [deleted user] (new)

"Good morning, Sunkit. Philosophically…" Frostpaw murmured. "Yes, that's a good word."

message 70: by Dragonmoon257 (new)

Dragonmoon257 Sunkit leapt stealthily over Darkpaw's sleeping body. "So, are you guys going to check me in with your leader?"

message 71: by Dragonmoon257 (new)

Dragonmoon257 Inkpaw nodded. "Yes, Willowstar should be in her den soon. She's one busy cat."

message 72: by [deleted user] (new)

"Either that or Dapplemoon will make sure that you're included."

Darkpaw finally awoke and blinked sleepily, waving one paw in the air. "WhadImiss?"

"Nothing much." Frostpaw grinned. Darkpaw's fur was sticking up in all directions and still slightly wet from the rain.

message 73: by Dragonmoon257 (new)

Dragonmoon257 Inkpaw tried not to giggle at Darkpaw's crazy sleep daze.

message 74: by [deleted user] (last edited Sep 08, 2015 05:14PM) (new)

Darkpaw shut his eyes again and rolled over. "No. More. Rain. I. Sleep. Good night." He was promptly snoring again.

"Well, he's a charmer," Frostpaw said, rolling her eyes.

message 75: by Dragonmoon257 (new)

Dragonmoon257 Inkpaw grinned. "Definitely." Sunkit giggled.

message 76: by [deleted user] (last edited Sep 08, 2015 05:39PM) (new)

Frostpaw groaned exasperatedly. "Imagine that being my future mate."

((gn see you tomorrow))

message 77: by Dragonmoon257 (new)

Dragonmoon257 Sunkit climbed on Inkpaw's back. "Let's go to Willowstar now, Inkpaw!"

Inkpaw laughed. "Okay." She turned to Frostpaw. "Are you coming?"

message 78: by [deleted user] (new)

"I'm gonna try to wake up this sleepyhead," Frostpaw said with a wry grin. She began to prod Darkpaw's head with her front paw.

"Wazgoninon," he mumbled before snoring again.

message 79: by Dragonmoon257 (new)

Dragonmoon257 Inkpaw grinned and headed towards Willowstar's den. "Whee!" Sunkit giggled happily.

message 80: by [deleted user] (new)

Briarflower entered the apprentice den, her eyes gazing all around. As she spotted Inkpaw, she purred. "Inkpaw, would you like to come to the Gathering with me?"

message 81: by Dragonmoon257 (new)

Dragonmoon257 Inkpaw leapt with excitement. "Yes! Of course, Briarflower! You are the best." She gave Briarflower a short nuzzle.

message 82: by [deleted user] (new)

"I'd like to come, too," Frostpaw said softly.

"Oh, oh, me too!" Darkpaw said too, caught up in the excitement.

message 83: by [deleted user] (new)

Briarflower looked at all the apprentices. "I am so sorry, but I was told I can only bring my apprentice. Another time, I shall bring all of you."

message 84: by [deleted user] (new)

"Alright." Frostpaw nodded, hushing Darkpaw with a light touch of her tail, shushing his response.

message 85: by [deleted user] (new)

Briarflower smiled, then headed out of the den.

message 86: by [deleted user] (last edited Sep 11, 2015 04:49PM) (new)

((there's drama going on in the ThunderClan nursery, oooo!))

message 87: by [deleted user] (new)

Briarflower entered the apprentice den, looking for her apprentice. "Inkpaw? Inkpaw! It's time for our training!" she called out.

message 88: by Dragonmoon257 (new)

Dragonmoon257 Inkpaw yawned. She had taken a long nap after the gathering. "Okay, Briarflower," she mewed sleepily. "Can we show Sunkit around camp?" she asked.

message 89: by [deleted user] (new)

Briarflower nodded. "Yes, but we must hurry. I want to get to training as fast as possible."

message 90: by Dragonmoon257 (new)

Dragonmoon257 "Thanks!" Inkpaw softly nudged Sunkit. "Hey sis. Wake up! Briarflower and I are going to show you around camp."

Sunkit groggily opened her eyes and yawned. "Oh, sure. I'd love to."

message 91: by [deleted user] (new)

Briarflower smiled at the two sisters. "If Sunkit also wants, she can come along to our training session. Maybe I'll teach her a couple of moves." Briarflower winked.

message 92: by Dragonmoon257 (new)

Dragonmoon257 Sunkit grinned. "That would be so cool!"

message 93: by [deleted user] (new)

Briarflower nodded to the doorway. "Now let's get a'moving before the sun leaves without us." Briarflower walked outside and headed to the Freshkill pile to take a squirrel.

message 94: by Dragonmoon257 (last edited Sep 23, 2015 06:35PM) (new)

Dragonmoon257 Inkpaw padded after her mentor, with Sunkit happily prancing around her paws. She picked out a small, rust-colored rabbit. Suddenly in the rabbit's fur she could see a dark pattern, depicting a cat bounding towards a sun. Part of the sun was missing, and it had a sharp object in it. With horror she looked from Sunkit, who was missing a leg, to the broken sun. She backed away from the rabbit. "Briarflower, I think we should show this to Willowstar…" she mumbled. Bad signs when Sunkit had just arrived, this wasn't good.

message 95: by [deleted user] (new)

Briarflower looked at her apprentice. "What has happened?" She looked down at the rabbit. "Oh no…" she murmured. Taking the rabbit from Inkpaw she said, "Inkpaw, please take Sunkit and help some elders out. Keep them company. I must go see Emberstar." with that, Briarflower stalked back to the Leader's den.

message 96: by Dragonmoon257 (new)

Dragonmoon257 Inkpaw nodded and led Sunkit towards the Elder's den. Sunkit turned around and worriedly said, "Hey sis, what's wrong?"

Inkpaw looked at her half-sister lovingly, trying to hide the worry on her face. "Nothing, just an omen. Nothing big. Come on, Briarflower told us to help out the elders. Then we can go to see Dapplemoon, the medicine cat."

Sunkit brightened up a bit. "Oh, all right." She still had a bad feeling. They walked off towards the Elder's den.

message 97: by Dragonmoon257 (new)

Dragonmoon257 Inkpaw and Sunkit gorged themselves, then set off for Dapplemoon's den.

message 98: by [deleted user] (new)

Frostpaw followed quickly after the two, stopping Inkpaw. "Would you two like to come with me? To… I… I have a secret."

message 99: by Dragonmoon257 (new)

Dragonmoon257 Inkpaw turned around. "Well, I guess, but Sunkit has been waiting to see Dapplemoon..."

Sunkit pouted. "Well, maybe. Can we go see Dapplemoon first. REALLY quickly?"

Inkpaw glanced at her best friend. "Can it wait a couple minutes?"

message 100: by [deleted user] (new)

"I… meet me by the river, okay? By the river," Frostpaw said, bounding off.
