Darkpaw blinked sleepily. "Well. Why don't we visit? We can wait by the river," he murmured, linking tails with Frostpaw. The she-cat let out an appreciative purr and pressed gently on Darkpaw's side.

"Race you," Darkpaw purred, taking off through the opening.
"Shall we?" Frostpaw asked Inkpaw.
"Shall we?" Frostpaw asked Inkpaw.
Frostpaw took off, sprinting, following the two.
(TO THE RIVER MY GALLANT STEED!)
(TO THE RIVER MY GALLANT STEED!)

Frostpaw yawned tiredly. The storm outside raged on, and she and Darkpaw were soaked to the bone. She spotted Inkpaw and Sunkit, asleep, and made a silencing motion with her tail. Darkpaw stopped mid-yawn and nodded. The two padded quietly over to Darkpaw's empty nest.

Frostpaw woke as the early dawn lit the sky. The rain outside droned on in an incessant hum. Still, life had to go on. And besides, Frostpaw loved rain. She stared at it for a few moments, caught up in memories.

"Isn't it? I love rain, the way it falls but seems to melt into the dirt before impact. Like it can find secret tunnels underground." Frostpaw watched the silvery screen of water that always changed, always seemed to reflect her moods.

"He asked me already. I said yes. And he's not obsessed, he just cares." Frostpaw blushed, her blue eyes turning bright with embarrassment.
"What will you do? You two can't keep meeting in secret. We'll keep them unknown, of course, but one day… one day…" Frostpaw sighed and shook her head. "You're not supposed to even know each other. I mean, honestly. If you're discovered, what will happen?"

"I've seen the way he looks at you. Like you're his savior sent from StarClan." Frostpaw tilted her head to look outside again. "You know another thing about raindrops? They're always changing, always forming new shapes on the ground, building on one another. Like you, when you build on your emotions, your memories. That's what makes you strong, Inkpaw. When the time comes, you will know what to do."

Sunkit stirred, only to see Frostpaw and Inkpaw chatting. She whispered, "Inkpaw? Frostpaw?"
Inkpaw swiveled around. "Oh, hi Sunkit."
"Good morning, Sunkit. Philosophically…" Frostpaw murmured. "Yes, that's a good word."

"Either that or Dapplemoon will make sure that you're included."
Darkpaw finally awoke and blinked sleepily, waving one paw in the air. "WhadImiss?"
"Nothing much." Frostpaw grinned. Darkpaw's fur was sticking up in all directions and still slightly wet from the rain.

Darkpaw shut his eyes again and rolled over. "No. More. Rain. I. Sleep. Good night." He was promptly snoring again.
"Well, he's a charmer," Frostpaw said, rolling her eyes.
"Well, he's a charmer," Frostpaw said, rolling her eyes.
Frostpaw groaned exasperatedly. "Imagine that being my future mate."
((gn see you tomorrow))

Inkpaw laughed. "Okay." She turned to Frostpaw. "Are you coming?"
"I'm gonna try to wake up this sleepyhead," Frostpaw said with a wry grin. She began to prod Darkpaw's head with her front paw.
"Wazgoninon," he mumbled before snoring again.

Briarflower entered the apprentice den, her eyes gazing all around. As she spotted Inkpaw, she purred. "Inkpaw, would you like to come to the Gathering with me?"

"I'd like to come, too," Frostpaw said softly.
"Oh, oh, me too!" Darkpaw said too, caught up in the excitement.
"Oh, oh, me too!" Darkpaw said too, caught up in the excitement.
Briarflower looked at all the apprentices. "I am so sorry, but I was told I can only bring my apprentice. Another time, I shall bring all of you."
"Alright." Frostpaw nodded, hushing Darkpaw with a light touch of her tail, shushing his response.
Briarflower smiled, then headed out of the den.
((there's drama going on in the ThunderClan nursery, oooo!))
Briarflower entered the apprentice den, looking for her apprentice. "Inkpaw? Inkpaw! It's time for our training!" she called out.

Briarflower nodded. "Yes, but we must hurry. I want to get to training as fast as possible."

Sunkit groggily opened her eyes and yawned. "Oh, sure. I'd love to."
Briarflower smiled at the two sisters. "If Sunkit also wants, she can come along to our training session. Maybe I'll teach her a couple of moves." Briarflower winked.
Briarflower nodded to the doorway. "Now let's get a'moving before the sun leaves without us." Briarflower walked outside and headed to the Freshkill pile to take a squirrel.

Briarflower looked at her apprentice. "What has happened?" She looked down at the rabbit. "Oh no…" she murmured. Taking the rabbit from Inkpaw she said, "Inkpaw, please take Sunkit and help some elders out. Keep them company. I must go see Emberstar." with that, Briarflower stalked back to the Leader's den.

Inkpaw looked at her half-sister lovingly, trying to hide the worry on her face. "Nothing, just an omen. Nothing big. Come on, Briarflower told us to help out the elders. Then we can go to see Dapplemoon, the medicine cat."
Sunkit brightened up a bit. "Oh, all right." She still had a bad feeling. They walked off towards the Elder's den.
Frostpaw followed quickly after the two, stopping Inkpaw. "Would you two like to come with me? To… I… I have a secret."

Sunkit pouted. "Well, maybe. Can we go see Dapplemoon first. REALLY quickly?"
Inkpaw glanced at her best friend. "Can it wait a couple minutes?"
"I… meet me by the river, okay? By the river," Frostpaw said, bounding off.
