Walker crashes yet another car and decides to insert himself into his brother’s hotel business. In doing so, he goes behind their backs to make a deal with the congressman who’s threatening Aiden. What were your thoughts on Walker and his decision to assert himself into the family business after previously showing no interest? Did you feel him capable and within his rights of negotiating the deal? Should he have consulted with Aidan and Spencer first? Thoughts on Cordie helping them solve the conflict and bring the congressman to heel?

Walker could have become a Simone if he got into any more trouble, but that's not part of this story.

He has not grown up, has no business trying to do a hotel deal, and I just did not like him.

Cordie's conflict resolution did not ring very true to me in that setting.

Walker was always the happy, carefree man who did as he pleased and left his messes for his brothers to clean up. I had thought that after what happened to Regan as a byproduct of his recklessness, he would have grown up. Now, he has time to reflect on his life and wants to be part of the business, except, he goes behind Aiden's back and that is not the way he should have started his campaign to be included more in the business. Cordie pointed out that Walker got a good deal, they just needed to force the congressman to sign the contract.

I saw Walker as the wayward brother who was looking for a way to score points with his brothers. If he could get this deal, they may look at him differently and not fight him joining them in the family business. It made sense to me that he had one too many accidents and needed to get out of racing.

I like that Cordie could look at Walker's plan from the outside, and see the possibilities of fixing the deal.

Walker should have checked in with his brothers first of course. But it was cute how Cordie had such faith in Aiden's ability to handle the situation. She just assumed he could find a way to fix it if she only pointed it out to him that he could. In the moment, he was too angry to problem solve.

On the outside looking in, Cordie was able to see what the brothers couldn't...that although Walker went behind his brother's backs, there was a satisfactory way to fix things if they put their heads together. Yes, Walker should have talked with his brothers before making a deal and I think he skirted them because he knew they'd shut him down without considering what he could bring to the table.
