adding new edition, mangled version already added

Hi! my edition is ISBN 9781472151360. Scanning didn't pick it up. Search for the book name produces one with ISBN 9780802123459.
Calling up a list of books, the artwork for my edition (Corsair, 2016) appears, but the data for this record look pretty mangled (e.g. author "unknown") yet when I try to add a new edition I am blocked: "1 error prohibited this book from being saved: Isbn13 is taken by an existing book with the title "The Sympathizer" in 'Public' status. " Presumably this is the mangled version.

Anyway, I am directed by the site to raise this to the Group for further action...

... just to note that, although the routes described above still don't lead me to it, I managed to find my edition on my PC (i.e. not via the mobile app - I'd been trying both before) by scrolling down a list of 111 alternative editions! This record seems to be fine - I have no idea why it's only reachable by this obscure route... perhaps Mr Bezos should cough up for some extra programming staff?
