J R (obsessivebookfiend) | 23 comments Hey y’all I’m a total bookworm looking for ARCs. I can read quite fast and will write detailed reviews for them. My favorite genres are literary fiction, horror, and mystery/thriller, but I’m up to read really any fiction genre. YA or Adult if possible

Tamsin Reed | 24 comments Hi J,
I am giving away ARC copies of my contemporary romance: Snowbound with the Billionaire Boss – An enemies to Lovers Romance in exchange for a review. For those of a sensitive disposition, I'd say it's mid-level steamy. If you could get it to me by 8 Jan 2024 at the latest, that would be great.

The summary below, gives you its flavor.

If you're interested, please let me know.

Best wishes,

Tamsin

My job as an executive assistant was great but I despised my hot billionaire boss. The way he talked down to me, his grumpy behavior. He could stick his job. Then my widowed mom became ill and my bills doubled overnight. I could leave but Mom needed me.

Ethan Blackwood was the charismatic bad-boy billionaire who owned Blackwood Enterprises. His ruthless reputation in the boardroom was only matched by his notoriety in the bedroom.
I was the latest in a long line of assistants and another potential conquest. No way that was that going to happen.

Then on a business trip in his private jet, we crashed high in the mountains during a fierce blizzard.

We were stranded in the small town of Clearwater Glen. Cut off. Snowbound.

Hot sparks inevitably fly but will they melt his frozen heart or scorch mine to a crisp?

Hi J,
From what you say, I think my book might suit your reading taste. DESTINY’S RING is a 110K, multi-POV, dark (literary) fantasy that fuses a play on the conventions of Cinderella romance (instead of finding security, the protagonist, Elora, is forced to develop independence) with a tale of possession and resistance (think, GODS OF JADE AND SHADOW by Silvia Moreno-Garcia meets THE ACCURSED by Carol Joyce Oates).
Lady Clarewell covets the supernatural ring on Thomas Cumberwell’s hand and has already killed in a jealous attempt to regain it. Meanwhile, Thomas romances Elora Panganiban y Boven, a present-day Houston financial intern, and when Clarewell comes looking for the ring, entrusts it to Elora. Clarewell learns of this and murders Elora’s family while trying to find the ring. Worse, the ring—a devious, malignant personality in its own right—has taken a liking to Elora and insists she become its friend. Grieving the massacre of her family, she is terrified by the ring’s mind bending attempts to possess her. But when she faces death at the hands of Clarewell’s killer, only the ring can save her.

Rudolf Kerkhoven | 9 comments Hello J,

I can offer an ARC of my upcoming literary/dystopian novel, THE SACRIFICED. Considering your interest in literary fiction, I’m hoping this will interest you.

I've included the summary below.

Thank you,
Rudy

Like every other metropolitan area on Earth, the Seattle/Vancouver region of the twenty-second century is surrounded by sprawling shanty towns housing millions of migrant ecological refugees, people displaced by the effects of climate change. In orbit and still under construction is the Tevat, an interstellar ark designed to grant four thousand believers the chance to start anew on a planet several lightyears away. Funded by the richest man to ever live—equal parts Elon Musk and Bhagwan Shri Rajneesh—the journey will require generations of inhabitants, the initial citizens accepting that they will be sacrificing their descendants to a life aboard a spacecraft in which they can never leave.

Pri Gosal is among those chosen believers. Others feel she is a deluded member of a cult. She is an intelligent and isolated woman desperate to find a way to board the Tevat after sanctioned launches of people and supplies are halted. Her only option is to leave the sheltered confines of her gated city and journey into the surrounding encampments, what people call The Jungle. Here she must confront both the realities of the Earth’s most destitute as well as her own privilege.

message 11: by Caitlin (new)

Caitlin Mazur | 6 comments Hey J!

Any interest in a dystopian thriller (first in a five-part series!)?

After a scavenging accident, the daughter of a religious Prophet learns that despite what she’s been told, there are other survivors of the apocalypse outside her commune. With no other options, she joins a team of survivors who hate her and everything she represents. Worse yet, she must unravel the truths she learns of what her Prophet has done and the part he played in the demise of humanity. She must choose between self-preservation, loyalty to her prophet, or sacrificing herself to atone for her commune’s sins.

It's been compared to a mix between The Handmaid's Tale and The Last of Us.

It's just a house, right? Houses can't hurt. Houses can't bleed.

But this house wants you to.

When the Waite family moves into their new home, they don't bargain on being unwanted guests. But this house has deep-rooted, blood soaked history, and it's angry. Told from its perspective, TTIS follows the consequences of past and present traumas intermingling and is a love letter to the abused.

Pelin Kula | 4 comments Hello J,
I have a romance novella called High Infidelity that was released today. Here is the blurb:
Adelaide Byron (then Clarke) had been in love with Connor Thompson, and he returned this love. However, there is many ways that you can kill the one you love and the slowest way is never loving them enough. Adelaide had always believed that Connor was the love of her life, but she soon discovers that his feelings for her were never as deep as she had hoped. Heartbroken and furious, Adelaide plans a revenge. She sets her sights on Harry Byron, a wealthy and influential man from a renowned family. Months after they got married, Connor broke into their house and wrote a curse word on the wall. This incident sets off something inside Adelaide. On a day when rain soaked, she decides to face the man she once loved. From that moment, nothing will be the same.
I’d be so glad if you are interested.
Sending lots of love.

N. Glass | 10 comments Got an interesting one in need of ARC readers. “Tomorrow in Las Vegas” explores the impact and future of social media and influencers on our society. How far might it go? The tale is told through the eyes of 4 friends on a trip before college who encounter things more outlandish than expected in Sin City.

When Kyle finds his life on the line, in a trial setup like a gameshow, his friends will do whatever it takes to save him. With social media running the show, Donny must rise to influencer status in 24 hours with his sister Sadie as the star of his posts. How much of her dignity will she surrender to save her best friend’s life? Micky wrestles with the morality of it all as memories of his childhood faith plague him.

Prelude of Fire: The Gailean Quartet, Book 1

Hello there!! I'm an author of a YA epic fantasy series. Previously published, but I had to leave the publisher last year due to an unfortunate negative experience. So, like my characters, I'm on a quest! I'll be republishing later this year and am questing for early readers for my ARC for Book 1, Prelude of Fire.

Prelude of Fire has found family, a good vs. evil quest, emotional twists and turns, and elemental and musical magic. One reader says it's like "if Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings had a baby."

ARC is available in PDF, Epub, and Mobi.

If you're interested in helping me out, drop a comment or message me here directly. I appreciate any help I can get for a successful relaunch. Thanks for considering!

Here's the blurb to help you decide if you're interested:

A desperate mission. Sinister sorcery. Can she find the seven prism shards to stop the world from being destroyed?

Ashlai, a young Fyre mage who can harness powers of flame from the sun, yearns to know about her kin. Her adoptive elven father refuses to let her travel abroad with her brother, and she despairs of ever knowing who she really is. But when the new king’s vicious spell attacks her forest home, she flees toward that unknown past—and an uncertain destiny—guided only by the strange melody in her head and a piece of broken prism.

Determined to save the land from the enchanted drought burning everything in its path, Ashlai searches for six other magical fragments to overthrow the ruthless king. With the help of a shape-shifting thief, two squabbling bards, and a snarky water elf, she races toward a perilous confrontation…and a life-changing truth.

Can Ashlai fight fire with fire to defeat the devastating spell before it consumes the entire land? And can she survive the secrets she discovers without losing her new friends, her family, and even herself?

Prelude of Fire is the thrilling first book in The Gailean Quartet YA epic fantasy series. Featuring a diverse cast, high-stakes quests, and music melded with magic, you’ll love Schulze’s emotional journey.

Read Prelude of Fire to ignite destiny today!

Parker Williamson (parkerwilliamson) | 24 comments Hi!
I'm a debut romance author. My book is coming out Aug. 30 2025.

For the month of July I would like to give my book away for free. I would appreciate an honest review, but even that is optional.

If you are interested here is a download link. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1vq8s...

The book is 'The Governor's Daughter : A Contemporary Romance about Truth, Freedom, Beauty and Love' by Parker Williamson

Camilla Reyes was raised with all the qualities the United States expects from a Pacific territory: beauty, wealth, and obedience. But when she publicly champions independence for her homeland of Hangua, defying her father—the island's powerful governor—the colony erupts in chaos. To contain the fallout, Camilla is forced into an arranged marriage.

Desperate to escape, Camilla strikes a deal with the last man she'd ever trust: Senator Julian Oz, the sharp-tongued politician who humiliated her on live television. Experienced and ruthlessly disciplined, Julian sees opportunity in Camilla as dangerous attraction ignites between them—under his tutelage, they go from enemies to lovers. To survive, she must become the perfect partner to a man who’s either using her… or falling for her.

This puts her on a collision course with Mari Cruz—Camilla’s best friend. From friend to lover, now lover to enemy, they shared one kiss too many before Camilla’s engagement to Julian shattered everything. As tensions escalate between the United States and China, the two women who once shared everything now face each other on opposite sides of Hangua's most divisive fight: statehood or independence—a battle that will determine their island's fate.

On Hangua, politics is legacy, love is currency, and betrayal is the price of freedom.

For fans of Enemies to Lovers, Arranged Marriages, Fake Engagements, Sapphic Love, Political Romance and Love Triangles.
