Anyone else getting sudden friend requests from authors?

I have gotten 2 friend requests, from authors, just this month. I ignore them. I am an Admin in my Fantasy group, so you may be right about their target
Two authors are following me. I had read and liked both of their books. One had commented on my review of her book. They are not strangers, picking me out in a random way.
I have experienced the same thing - and rejected for same reason. I too am admin in a couple of small groups.
Thanks eveyone for chiming in! I was just curious. It's not like we have one of the top 10 groups in terms of size or something, so it seemed weird, but perhaps it's just coincidental. I am active on some Facebook book groups and maybe that's driving the extra requests.
Admins, thanks for your service. Your hard work and filtering annoyances has really enhanced my reading experience. I appreciate all of you!
They probably all read the same marketing blog or have the same person working for them.I had more friend requests than usual this month, but I didn't get far enough to know if they were authors. They didn't answer the question that pops up with the request, and also had 1000+ friends.

My policy is I don't accept friend requests from people who have more friends than they do books on their shelves . . .so I looked at each of these people who had WAY more friends than books, and rejected all three. But am wondering if they are just targeting all admins.
