Red Rabbit
question
Why isn't nobody talking about this book?

It's super underrated and I stumbled across it on pure accident.

Honestly I don't think many people know it exists right now. The library I work at only purchased it in October and when I showed my coworker she IMMEDIATELY put a hold on the copy. It's a great read, but there's also been no push for advertising it either on the publisher's end I think. I saw a really nice review and recommendation for it on Youtube the other day.
That explains a lot. It never really though of advertising playing a role, but it makes a lot more sense that way. Also, maybe the obscurity of the publisher played some kind of role. I don’t know much about nightfire and for all I know, they could be fairly well known, but being a smaller publisher with a lower marketing budget makes a lot of sense.
This was actually my first read for 2024! It was a great read (technically listen). I'm really enjoying the fantasy/supernatural western genre that I basically stumbled upon.
If you liked Red Rabbit, you'll most likely enjoy Make Me No Grave by Hayley Stone. A series that has a semi-similar feel is the Black Badge Series by Rhett C. Bruno.

It’s so good! I saw it at my local bookstore and it was on their new book Tuesday email which probably goes to about 20.000 people. Hopefully word gets out and it does well bc it deserves it.
