Sam lost a lot when she and Nick failed to reconnect. Peter did real damage to her psyche and Nick will just have to be patient while Sam works it all out.
Sam's relationship with Peter was very damaging and put a dent in her self-esteem. A weaker-willed woman might never have recovered. She needs time to trust herself more than Nick.
I have a problem with Sam's attitude. Nick sold his house so Sam is close to her work and her father. Now she throws it in Nick's face. I understand that Peter was a bad husband, and blocked her relationship with Nick, but I didn't like the was she treated him. This is one of the areas that I thought Marie Force tried a little to hard to make her Eve like. I understand Eve's baggage more than Sam's.
Peter really messed Sam up. She has a lot of issues that are directly related to her time with Peter. Nick doesn't deserve the grief Sam is giving him, but Sam didn't deserve what Peter did to her either. They both have a lot to work through.
I can understand Sam wanting to take this slow. She wants to know Nick a little better before she commits to moving in with him. She knows what a big mistake she made with Peter.
I hear both of you, but Sam should have told Nick she wanted to take it slow before he bought the house and designed the interior for her. Sam had the same issues with Peter before the rush to move from Virginia to DC. Even if she had hinted at not moving in with Nick or said she would take it slow, I would have more respect for her.

Force is obviously trying to model Sam on Eve but it does not work. First, Sam's baggage doesn't even come close to Eve's, and second, there is a bit of selfishness in Sam's attitude that is completely missing from Eve's.
