Well I don't know, Ruth.... sometimes these leadership roles come with string attached....And I hear it doesn't pay very well.
:)

We have no neighbors so we don’t..."Never, never, have I tolerated the heat well. Thankfully I grew up in Wisconsin; it must be my Dutch heritage. Here at 6000 ft. in southern Colorado it gets hot enough. We do see 100 degrees in the summer a few times every year so then people like me hibernate.
Hi everyone! I am not sure if I have posted in this group earlier. Anyway, I am Katarina from Gothenburg, Sweden, I am 60 years old and a cleaner and. a politician and I have read 7 lannguages and literature. Look forward to discuss with you. I have just read a Jojo Moye's book.
Now I am reading Too much and never enough. How my familj created the world's most dangerous man by Mary L. Trump.
Reminds me of what Harry did to his family, using his royal connection and famous name to sell a book that hurt them. How do you forgive that?
Hello everybody! (It's Mini, if you still remember me!). I've been really busy, hope you all are doing well! I have a new political podcast out -> https://youtu.be/lDloRGrROew?si=9CA9Q... this is the trailer. Would really appreciate if you checked it out! Thanks 😊
That’s really great, Mini. Robert was sort of your mentor for this, right? It seems like an off shoot of the great debate
I have read that Fred Trump Jr; Donald's older brother; died at the age of 42. Mary L Trump was then 16. It sounds traumatic to loose a parent at the age of 16.

Your Substack and YouTube are really good..everyone should check it out.I’m still kind of grieving for what happened at the flood in Texas. It is just so touching and sad.

Tysm!!
The blaming of whoever for what happened is not right. I wish the people doing the blaming would feel the pain they unnecessarily cause to the suffering people in Texas,
I think the people doing the blaming ought to feel on themselves that pain.
I just posted a podcast by Danny Deutch..he talks about Zohran Mandan, who won the primary for mayor of NYC? And why it would be really bad if he ever became Mayor
Hello everyone,I am Ali, 59, a wishing-to-retire soon surgeon from Pakistan. Last July, I took a career break and started to write a fiction series. Took me 10 months to complete Book 1...Can't believe it? This was the longest rest time (both physically and mentally) in the last 35 years of a 7-9, 6 days a week commitment. Guess what? I loved it. The reading, writing, getting up late, every-day-a-Sunday kind of life suited me really well, but then some realists woke me up from that beautiful dream and I am on the road again. However, in the quiet moments during work, I do think of the characters in my novel sometimes...their future.
People traveling by airplane will no longer have to take their shoes off when boarding an airplane! Trump is doing a little something right!
And they’re reporting that he is becoming more disillusioned with Putin, and ordering more aid to Ukraine so they can defend themselves from Russia

Wishing you great success in your writing endeavors, Ali, especially since you enjoy it so much.
One has to be pretty hard hearted not to feel grief about the terrible loss of life in Kerr County and beyond due to the unexpected and overwhelming flooding of the Guadalupe.I bet the people of Ashville, N.C., know just what they're going through.
But the outpouring of caring and helping hands is a big comfort.
Early this week I read direct quotes from President Trump regarding this tragedy. He said he was not visiting the area until tomorrow, Friday, "because I would be in the way."
He also clearly said that the policies in place were implemented by Biden, BUT, he didn't blame Biden either. It was just a catastropic event no one could foresee.

Thank you MaryJo for your kind words

I agree that it was fine for Trump to go to Texas when he did (today). He said he would just be in the way if he came when it happened. That makes sense. The pediatrician who made that comment was way out of line. I would be surprised if very many non Maga people would think that is okay. It’s not okay, of course.
I sometimes watch legacy or corporate news, such as msnbc and cnn.Trending now is that a lot of Trump voters are polling badly for Trump, in that Americans think his deportation policies are going too far.
And also, that there’s unfavorbility with Trumps base regarding the Jeffrey Epstein situation. That previously maga was gung ho over holding all those in Epstein orbit responsible for the human trafficking of not only women, but also children.
Now they want to make Pam bondi the fall person.
I remember how she let those involved in that crime go free when it came up in the Florida courts
Going into the hospital tomorrow morning for Angioplasty surgery. All my heart arteries are blocked again only after nine months from last surgery. Cardiologist wanted to do open heart surgery, but I declined. This is about the only option left, so it might buy me some time if it goes well.
Oh I’m optimistic he’s one of the best. I just always hope for the best, but prepared for the worst.

I agree MaryJo.
