I usually do if I own the book and if it's entraining enough. I highlight the parts I like or I find cute and the quotes. In the beginning I felt 100% lost and confused, but over time it gets better??!! I hope you'll find a solution to this pookie ❤️
I don't know if it counts as annotating, but I add flags whenever I reread books. I can't do it for my first readthrough of a book because my attention gets pulled away, too
ohmygosh sorry im not on my computer now so I can’t reply directly but thank you guys for your wise insight 👀👀 ill def try both methods!!
I don't annotate all of my books, just the ones I'm more attracted to or have absolutely blown my mind
i dont actually go back to books that i annotate, i annotate because i need to write the things that i think while reading the book. nonetheless, its really fun
i love annotating because it makes me focus on the book more, i used to get so distracted while i was reading but annotating stops my mind from wandering
I annotated my first book and it was for The Silent Patient. My purpose was to right down my stream of consciousness while reading/ my reactions. I also wanted to see if I could solve the mystery before the end of the book :) I would recommend annotating !
