In another request I have made, you didn't merge the edition with no format, because you found that there was an eBook, too. That's why I pointed out that only a paperback has been published.
I believe you misunderstood the situation.The request I didn't merge was because it already had the format set as ebook, not because there was an ebook in existence.
When an edition already has the format set as an ebook but has no ISBN, one needs to check if an ebook really exists. If not, we can merge it into the Kindle.
I hope this clarifies the poilicy.
No, it didn't have the format set as ebook. I think it wasn't you who responded the request. It was a long time ago and I didn't remember well. If it was set as ebook, I wouldn't make a merge request then, for sure. The librarian made the duplicate into an ebook, because an ebook edition was on the publisher's page.
