I can't find an ISBN or ASIN
It is 185 pages.
Thank you very much!"
This looks to be a madbot import.
Can you tell me if this is a literary magazine.
Other librarians, is this allowed on Goodreads?
Hi - not a "madbot". The Paris Review is a book-length quarterly. I would not call it a "magazine". It's a back issue. It has always been something I add to my Goodreads list. Here is a recent issue:https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/1...
Both of the ones I have asked to have page numbers added to recently, issues 59 and 60, are old issues I found and bought at Powell's Bookstore in Portland Oregon. They had pages but no page numbers.
I hope they can be added, as iI like to have them on the list of books I have read in a given year.

Librarians can see the changelog & I can assure you this was imported by what librarians call a madbot - one of the new bots that has imported all sorts of stuff on to Goodreads.
One other way we can tell is that the format is given as paperback, but it has an ASIN.
Looking at the other issue you gave, this certainly looks like a literary magazine. Is it perfect bound? (the same way National Geographic is bound - although it is not considered a literary magazine)
Hi I see, sorry I guess I don't really understand what a madbot is. I sent I my post through the Goodreads system like I usually do. Although it occurs to me that perhaps you were not referencing my post but the page of the old Paris Review itself. I apologize for my misunderstanding. I have little understanding as to how the pages for books are made.
The Paris Review is bound like a book, it seems to me. It doesn't feel different in it's binding to any other paperback. The paper feels more like regular paperback paper, not glossy like I remember National Geographic, though to be honest I haven't read one in quite a while.
At any rate, I appreciate the work you do for the site, and while I hope my request can be honored, I respect what you and the other librarians decide.

Perfect bound is essentially bound like a book. Since the other edition appears to be a literary magazine I have added your page count. Please allow at least 20 minutes for the changes to display (much) longer if you are using the app. & it would really help volunteer librarians if you could add [done] or similar to the thread title.
Sorry I can't explain the problem of what is now being imported on to the site any better than I have. Rest assured it is nothing that you have done. :)
