Excessive slow burn. Like slow burn is fine but if they still haven’t even kissed by the 400 page mark it starts to get so annoying. Especially when they have opportunities to do so.

I like the age differences maybe like 10-13 max, but anything more? No. It's quite literally disturbing and EVEN WORSE when its a "step" dad or anything of such. A stepbrother is fine if they are in no way related but a stepdad? um no. First off that's just terribly terrible, second off, HE'S LITERALLY CHEATING ON HIS WOMAN WITH HER DAUGHTER???? R U KIDDING ME??? and also I don't understand the point of mistaken identity, it's not BAD but it's just boring especially if it's not written by the right author. And a lot of times, I don't find second chances interesting either. Like it has to be REALLY good and written AMAZINGLY to be interesting. Most second chances I've read weren't my favorite. Im reading one rn so please pray for me lol.
step-anything tbh. wouldn't stop me from reading it just cuz but still no. or forcing yourself on someone and saying they liked it *heart eyes*
instalove/instalust - i personally prefer when the characters take time to fall in love and have actual chemistry between them =] also, sometimes when a book has too much smut, it just makes me want to stop reading :|

THIS!!
i absolutely hate an ‘i’m not like other girls’ quirky protagonist, or when the mc is perfect in every way/has zero flaws. can’t stand that 💩
i hate love triangles and when like the girl makes it so obvious that shes in love and the guy cannot catch a hint
i have a love and hate relationship with friends to lovers. and i hate love triangles (specially between brothers) but i kinda like the jealousy
Pregnancy and the couple not being able to communicate like adults, especially not allowing the other side to explain…smh
Idk if it's a trope, but I hate when they only think with their... lower parts. Or if the relationship is purely based on sex. Like I want the EMOTIONS. The smut is just a bonus.
oh I have several:student-teacher, age gap (when it's a lot like 10-15 yrs), look at her and I'll kill you, step-siblings, too much smut, I'm not like other girls, and y'all may come for me but small-town romances
i hate them, like why does the whole town need to know my business,
love at first sight. like what the heck. you need to get to know each other better THEN yall can love each other
Cheating, love triangle and pregnancy...add any of these in a book and it will be fully ruined for me 🙃
anything bordering incest (like stepmom/stepdad shiz, nuh uh) miscommunication but when it gets to the point of actual stupidity, or the makeover trope.
secret pregnancy/kid(especially stupid reasons and taking the whole book to tell them, meanwhile still dating and having s3xual relationship), cheating between or of main characters/ love triangles, rh books/series where the guys were all about the girl and never showing interest in guys all of a sudden having a bi-awakening, closed door romance
When the whole premise of a book is based on miscommunication and then the solution to everything is having a big emotional speech at the end. Yuck, do better.
