I hope everyone had a restful and happy festive season. Sorry I'm late in my wishes, camping with adult chidren and partners and busy busy busy! Hope all our Aussie Readers have a very happy new year!
And to you Suz! I hope you weren't washed away with the storms we've been having - not much fun in a tent!!
Well, that's it, I won't be finishing any more books this year. Finished on Jo Nesbo's The Snowman, with which I was pleasantly surprised. The movie was quite a bit different, & rather dreadful in retrospect.Happy New Year, Aussie Readers all! 🎉🎆✨🎈
Agreed Sharon! It's not that long ago we were turning over into 2000 and the computers were all going to crash - and it was the Olympics coming up!! Crazy!
Happy New Year everyone. I'm really looking forward to start my annual challenges reading. I always get quite excited about at least some of the books I choose and then I have to wait!! And I am not good at patience. I hope you all enjoy the fireworks or are well insulated from them.
Mary wrote: "I hope you all enjoy the fireworks or are well insulated from them..."My dog had a terrible time last night, she hates fireworks. From dusk through to dawn this morning they went off. I was asleep before midnight but woken at 3.15am by more bloody fireworks! 😒😃
Happy New Year everyone. Like Mary I have impatiently been waiting for the new years reading to begin. Hopefully should get one finished today, as I woke early and have made a good start!
For the first time in a long time we didn't watch the fireworks on TV (no dog to worry about now either) so it was a quiet night for me :)
Happy New Year everyone! May you all have a wonderful year 🥰I didn't stay up to watch the fireworks this year, but they were very loud here and woke me up. I always feel really sorry for dogs as there's not much you can do to stop them being freaked out by them.
Happy New Year, everyone, and a satisfying year's reading ahead! We watched two sets of fireworks in Hobart, 9.30 (the kids' show) and at midnight, from our friends' balcony, which has a very good view towards the docks, but is sufficiently distant that we get several seconds delay on the sound. The moonrise was almost more stunning than the fireworks last night!
Phrynne wrote: "Happy New Year Sarah. That is a fabulous photo!"Not mine, unfortunately, Phrynne! We were in the foothills off to the right of the photo looking south towards the city. This is pretty indicative of what the 9.30pm fireworks look like, though - it doesn't get properly dark until almost 10pm in December-January.
Happy New Year everyone, it was quiet in Lobethal and no one let off any illegal fireworks for a change.
