Not even going to explain who the Arctic Monkeys are, because pretty much everyone in this group has to have already heard of them even if they don't listen to them. Of course you should listen to the Arctic Monkeys if you haven't already but where to start with them?
Where do I think you should start : Well, the easy answer is AM. It's there most commercially successful in the U.S, and it has all the songs you know by them such as " Do I Wanna Know?", R U Mine?", and "Why'd You Only Call Me When You're High?" It's a nice chill listen, and a solid album, start to finish.
If you really like a heavy guitar riff, a fat bassline, or if you ever ironically enjoyed being called a dirty little sl*t, then you should probably start with their first album instead, Whatever People Say I Am, That's What I'm Not. It is actually an amazing album, and it was actually way more commercially successful than any of their other albums in the U.K, but we just didn't see it on our side of the pond. (Fun fact: Every Arctic Monkeys album has released at No 1 on the U.K charts.)
