Sonya is visited by Oliver Doyle, II, a lawyer for the recently deceased Collin Poole who he claims was her father’s twin brother. Apparently, the twins were separated at birth and Drew MacTavish was put up for adoption. She’s his sole heir but the estate comes with strings attached, requiring her to live at the mansion for three years in order to keep it. What did you make of all this at the time? Were you skeptical or did Doyle seem honest? Would you have been willing to uproot your live and move to another state?

Anita (anitanodiva) | 2953 comments When we first found out, I was sad that Drew was the adopted-out twin. Later, he turned out to be the lucky one. I also thought this was some messed up family.

Doyle seemed honest, but a bit cagy about what was really going on. With Sonya's life in an upheaval, an escape from Boston and Brandon was a good idea. In her situation, I would have gone too.

Sharon Kallenberger Marzola | 3474 comments I was skeptical. I thought it was some hoax, and Doyle was going to screw Sonya. As it turned out, Doyle is a good guy and worked for Sonya. It was the perfect solution for her to move on and begin freelancing. I loved that she jumped in and started a new life.
