Finlay | 6 comments ISBN 978-1035020157
1070 pages

The Goodreads listing for the 2023 Pan Macmillan edition of Ken Follett’s The Pillars of the Earth (ISBN 978-1035020157) is missing a page count. My copy of this edition has 1070 pages. Please could the page count for this book be updated? Thank you!

Hi Finlay

Both World Cat & Amazon have a different cover
https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/1...

But if you can assure me that your page count doesn't include advertising material, an extract from another book & blank pages right at the end I will be happy to add this for you.

Finlay | 6 comments Hello!

Apologies, I’m not sure if I’ve referenced the version I intended to as the ISBN might have been reused - this should be a link to the edition concerned - https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/177689945-the-pillars-of-the-earth

It’s listed as being 1104 pages long on worldcat but the story is actually 1070 pages long, the remainder is a preview for the next book in the series.

Hope this helps :)

Yes, it is best to link to the edition you have as unfortunately most publishers & self published authors reuse ISBNs. Also many librarians who do page counts want to do quick edits, so they are more likely to do page count requests if the book is linked.

I've added the page count to your edition. Please allow at least 20 minutes for this to display (much) longer if you are using the app.

The ISBN should be with your edition, since it is newer. Librarians are no longer allowed to shift ISBNs, so I'll make a request to Support to do this.

If you could add [done] or similar to the title of this thread it would greatly help volunteer librarians. :)
