Walking your dog must have been quite something.
We weren't too badly hit & yesterday was a lovely day.
It looks like the Plant Swap is going to collapse. The organiser is now very busy & she has a young family. Given the meagre nature of our offerings, I don't want to take it over.

& I won a black card for this Fridays opening event at the Auckland Writers Festival. If anyone else is going - don't hesitate to say hi! I'll be carrying a very distinctive, fairly large hand bag. it's lime green with large black flowers & black handles.
I'll be with my husband & (probably) one of my sisters.

Have fun at the Auckland Writers Festival.
Shame about the plant swap, it's sad when things come to an end. Maybe it just needs a period of hibernation

Yes, the organiser wants to think about it for a bit before she definitely puts it into recess. But she is very busy, lives a longish way out of town & has young children.

Ha! The heavens opened just as we got to the train stop & we got absolutely drenched! Then got drenched having to walk all the way to the Britomart Car Park (in spite of the name, not near the Britomart area).
We went into the first bar we saw for a drink, then saw Antonia Murphy talk about her book Madam (the next two nights we watched the TV series.
Then we went to a beautiful bar in the Britomart Hotel & had some wonderful cocktails.
My library stocks Madam so I am adding it to one of my to-read lists. Apparently it differs - a lot from the book.
Anyone seen the series? Would love to discuss!

Pleased you had such a good time despite the weather!
I have not heard of this book nor the TV series, but I see it is streaming on ThreeNow. There's 10 episodes so I can't guarantee I'll watch all of them at once, but I'll let you know what I think once I've started. At least it will be something to watch that isn't repeats or sport! :)
