Good job team! My finish came too late to help, but it would fit Jan 21 in platinum!

I fell asleep 3/4 of the way through The Walled Garden and didn’t push myself to restart. Despite the cover, it’s emphasis is on war trauma, terminal illness and general misery with precious little about the garden. It could have fitted for a character in the arts for a Platinum prompt.I’ve greatly enjoyed this readathon and the camaraderie. I’m impressed with the innovativeness of whoever put it together. Back to Christmas now I suppose...
The good news is, this is the week I finally finished Hild! Unfortunately it didn't fit into any of the platinum prompts anyway 😅 Thanks for the fun week, team!

Thanks for the fun week, team!"
That book is a huge undertaking. It's very good but it reinforced what I have thought for a while, that historical fiction is a lot like fantasy, the author has to build a complicated world and convey it to you without boring info dumps.
