Her bringing Bea into the game is just a huge mess coming in the next book. Did they ever reveal what is between her & Mordecai? How can an AI be a creeper? Like what even is that? I hope that Katya isn't separated from them too much, why not add the decent women from her former group to their party? Is it because they won't be in a group with Carl? I forget which server but it was a role playing server and you could not go into the inn in Northshire (was that the town in the human starting area?) because nasty things happened in the second floor of the inn lol

Okay I know this might be crazy, but I really like the AI as a character too... (view spoiler)[ I want to know more about it and how they create each one for each different game... Who's in charge, do they change the AI base, why is this one in particular going crazy so soon.. Imagine your whole purpose in life is being made to run a fucked up game for the universe's perverse enjoyment...

I'm hoping the AI going crazy so soon has something to do with how the whole Crawl will go up in flames

I'm also wondering if that one Crawler from the Cookbook who took a deal for 100 years and promised his revenge is going to show up, (or has already showed up?)

So I have actually finished book 6 on March so I might pop in here just to see what you guys think. Will leave most of my thoughts for the after book 6 conversation to avoid spoiling anything. Let me just say I have never expected such a depth from this series. It just keep getting better too.

I agree. I don't want the series to end! It's become a favorite series in such a short time.

You guys had a great discussion, I'm sad I missed it in real time. Just think, we'll get to do it all over again in rereads to prep for future releases :D

(view spoiler)[I'm noticing that some seeds were planted back in book 1, which I'm listening to again now that I hooked my husband on it. Some of the characters/other crawlers and things mentioned briefly. This will be great to reread.

And what is up with Agatha?? Only level 12 and made it through the floor??? Can't wait to learn more about her since she's not a normal crawler. Who or what is she really?

I like the bigger picture stuff that's emerging. I'm impressed with how it's being woven in deftly.

I, too, don't want Katya to leave the party. The thought makes me sad even though I agree with her logic. Hopefully the guild thing will help with that. And hope she comes back after whatever she does with the rest of her old group.

I don't think there's anything good in store for Bea. Carl still has his Doomsday Scenario in inventory. If they push him too far he could cause an extinction level event and end the game in one shot. I know the asshole game creators like to push and break their crawlers but that could have devastating effects with Carl that I don't think they've seen previously. Devastating effects for the game creators. I also think the AI is on Carl's side (not just for his feet) and is pushing its boundaries too. Not sure "going insane" is like it is for a human. I think the AI wants to help Carl take them all down but, well, it can only do oddball things. We will see :) (hide spoiler)]
