Tawnya | 4044 comments Before doing this I had never noticed the "Report incorrect product information" button on the sales pages. Right now I think I am running about 20% of the books having incorrect info. Maybe it's because I've been concentrating on older books that nobody seems to care about. My question has anyone ever seen a correction made after alerting them to the problem or am I wasting my time?
I have learned to not believe them on even the simplest information and to always verify with other sources.

Martin | 35380 comments Where is this button? It's not something I was aware of.

Tawnya | 4044 comments Under the area where it shows us the page count, publisher, etc.
Any of the newer books I just tried putting in had an advert immediately under it, so it sort of got lost.
I was going to try to put a screenshot of it on here, but I guess we can't do that.
Anyway it is to the right of the cover. If you get to the product details you've gone too far down.

Tawnya | 4044 comments Sorry I thought because I hit the "questions" link that that was the default location it would go to.

I know GR can't do anything about Amazon. I was just truly curious if anyone has ever managed to have them change things. I recently finished going through a chef. They have 5 different titles lumped together. Of course when that mess migrated here it was all wrong. I can see why GRs basically open-sourced editing. It is physically impossible to keep up with the bots. The other day I looked at the librarian log to find out why a book had been deleted. It was one bot arguing with another. They literally went back and forth a few times. I have found several recently released books were the bot placed the Kindle edition into the database, but then it was removed by another one. I didn't look to see if they were arguing amongst themselves for all of them, even though one book I saw GR has bots as well. It was like a cage match between the three of them. I am no longer worried about AI. It is too busy fighting with itself.

Martin | 35380 comments I'm still confused, is this a question about Goodreads or Amazon?

Sorry my brain thinks it put the information in, but my fingers never got the memo.

Martin | 35380 comments Thanks, I will back out of the discussion as I know nothing of how Amazon operates.
