What we envision the character to be

I have seen a lot of posts on places such as Pinterest where they show what they think the character would look like in real life.
For some reason, I don't fully agree.
I believe Alex would have either a clean shave or subtle stubble rather than a full beard. In my mind he's not an older man that looks it, as he is mid 20's.
Someone like Rhys from the second book Twisted Games I believed to be from Mexican decent or even Puerto Rican.
I'm not entirely sure why I think this but seeing him as a white man in my mind doesn't make sense at all.
I hope I'm not the only person who feels this way.

I totally get that! Like don't get me wrong the people in those photos are stunning and could pass for the characters, but sometimes it's just not what you think they'd be

I imagined Alex tall and not too muscular, a white pale male and dark haired for some reason with blue eyes...maybe because he's Russian lol. I am currently reading Twisted Games and I don't imagine Rhys from Spanish descent at all only because they characterized him as a big muscular guy.
