Rinpoche is a title and should not be included in author's name on Goodreads.
Additionally, Mingyur is not a surname; as with many Asian names, there is no ne..."
Really disagree with this decision.
Rinpoche is part of his public name, his publishing name, and «Yongey Mingyur» is simply incomplete.
Just look at the covers of his books. It says «Yongey Mingyur Rinpoche». That’s his name; his publishing name, anyway. It shouldn’t matter that Rinpoche is a title. «Dalai Lama» is also a title, and yet, that’s his public name and his publishing name. It’s a puzzling decision to call the author «Yongey Mingyur» when this shortened name does not appear anywhere else on the internet.
Also, what about other authors with Rincpoche in their names? For instance, his father, Tulku Urgyen Rinpoche:

There are plenty of authors with Rinpoche in their name in the Goodreads database. I don’t see why Yongey Mingyur Rinpoche should be an exception.

Will do!
A librarian recently rejected my proposal to change the author name because «Rinpoche» is not part of his name. It is true that «Rinpoche» is a title, however, this is essentially a part of his name. All his books are published under the name Yongey Mingyur Rinpoche, and everywhere you look on the internet, this is the name he is known by. Only on Goodreads is he referred to as simply «Yongey Mingyur», so please fix this error. Thanks!
