I wrote this last year, for Baen Books. It just came out in Mass Market Paperback today (which is way cheaper than the Trade Paperback that came out a year ago).

I do theorize what a gravity drive might look like and the basics of how it would work (a lot like the general EMF right had rule used for charge through a wire - just a different 'charge' and a different 'wire').
Yes I did the physics on all the orbital mechanics, the energy per mass, how Pressurized Water Reactors work, ship sizes, tramp crews, etc etc etc. Cause I used to be an engineer before I became an author.
Yes, it's a dystopian future (for Earth at least) but check out the blurb maybe read the sample, who knows, you might just like it! :-)
