Craig Gorvin | 4 comments I read Hyperion by Dan Simmons for this prompt.

*. tina 。⋆୨୧˚ (whatistinareading) | 9 comments Currently reading A Torch Against the Night, the 2nd of the An Ember in the Ashes series, and it has 3 POVs.

message 55: by Kristy (new)

Kristy | 14 comments “The Girl With All The Gifts” - it has at least 5 POVs. Personally I would have liked it more if it only had 2.

message 56: by Aquaria (new)

Aquaria | 53 comments Anthony Doerr – Cloud Cuckoo Land

message 57: by Trish (new)

Trish (trishhartuk) | 265 comments I went with Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close. While most of it is told from Oskar's point of view, there are multiple chapters also from his Grandma and Grandpa.

message 58: by Ron (new)

Ron | 2718 comments Still can't figure this one out, especially since I'm looking for nonfiction.

message 59: by Alesha (new)

Alesha (leshalea28) | 9 comments The Dark One (book 2) by Nikki St. Crowe: 3-5 POVS.

message 60: by Amy (new)

Amy (amy709) | 15 comments I'm using A slow fire burning by Paula Hawkins.

Let me know how you like it. I loved everything by Paula Hawkins, including that one.

Meghana (meghana_r) | 4 comments I’m using The Golden Spoon by Jessa Maxwell which consists of the multiple contestants’ POVs and one for Betsy.

Point of view.

message 65: by Renee (new)

Renee Hoile | 4 comments what do you look for to get 3 pov?

The Pampered Librarian | 165 comments Renee wrote: "what do you look for to get 3 pov?"
Chapters will often begin with a character's name on top. If you see chapters beginning Karen/Trevor/Linda you are most likely getting the narrative from those three characters' perspective (point of view).

message 67: by Brandon (new)

Brandon Harbeke | 698 comments Look for books with ensemble casts and outside the YA sphere, and you should easily find a book with at least three POV characters.

Princess of Dune is one that I am reading right now that has different chapters devoted to different characters (Chani, Irulan, the Navigator representative, etc.).

Renee Hoile | 4 comments thank you

Frogli | 96 comments This should be a fairly easy one for fantasy readers, a couple I read this year are

Godkiller
Fevered Star (book 1 in the trilogy Black Sun would also qualify)

Frogli | 96 comments Ron wrote: "Still can't figure this one out, especially since I'm looking for nonfiction."

Might be a slight stretch but I read The Wager: A Tale of Shipwreck, Mutiny and Murder and the author does pull together the versions of the events from the Captain and at least a couple of the other crew members/mutineers

message 71: by LeahS (new)

LeahS | 491 comments Ron, you might also try The Five: The Untold Lives of the Women Killed by Jack the Ripper. Uncheerful, but very good. It has chapters dealing with each of the victims, so although again it's a bit of stretch it is five different characters involved in the same series of events.

message 72: by LeahS (last edited Mar 13, 2024 09:52AM) (new)

LeahS | 491 comments Just thinking - another option would be to find an edited book on a subject, where each chapter or section is by a different expert.

message 73: by Ron (new)

Ron | 2718 comments I appreciate the help every one. I'm sure I can make things work. And The Wager: A Tale of Shipwreck, Mutiny and Murder seems like a good way to go.

I'm kind of hoping this one will be released in paperback this year.

message 74: by Khalena Tate (new)

Khalena Tate | 22 comments I read She Started It for this one! It cycles through the POVs of all the girls in a friend group on vacation(ish).

message 75: by Denise (new)

Denise | 359 comments I finished There There by Tommy Orange. As pointed out above, it can also be used for a neurodivergent character (Fetal Alcohol), and was recommended at my go to indie bookstore (#14) and at the library (#15).

The Pampered Librarian | 165 comments "The Teacher" by Frieda McFadden has 3 POV's although the third one doesn't appear until later in the book.

message 78: by Chrissy (new)

Chrissy | 387 comments The Bee Sting and Monstrilio we’re both just in the Tournament of Books, and I loved both of them. Four POVs each!

message 81: by Laura Ruth (new)

Laura Ruth Loomis | 253 comments I see I'm one of many who chose There There by Tommy Orange. It not only has a lot of POV characters, it switches from first to third person - and occasionally second - sometimes for the same character.

Other options: any of the "Girl With the Dragon Tattoo" books, Cloud Atlas and most other books by David Mitchell. If you prefer SF, anything by CJ Cherryh.

message 82: by Dubhease (last edited Oct 14, 2024 11:20AM) (new)

Dubhease | 659 comments I read One of Us Is Back which had 3 major PVs and 2 minor ones
