arabella, in a nutshell, is american. she says "waatur", she screams at little children, she watches football, she eats fast food, she barbecues, she yells at the top of her lungs on july 4th. oh, and she also has a gun and god knows she can use it.

born to an average middle-class family in missouri, arabella's childhood house was what could only be describes as a "little house on the prairie". a small fit for her father, mother, two little brothers and arabella herself, but they made do.

as the eldest daughter in the household, arabella was often expected to do the majority of the work in the house, little or large. since both her mother and father were working, and her brothers were too young, and quite frankly too stupid reckless to do most things, the burden fell on arabella.

she didn't exactly mind doing the chores and domestic work, but every passing day arabella started to wonder what she was destined for after her childhood, after she turned eighteen. she wasn't exactly skilled in anything, and if the path continued as it did, would arabella just be another lonely housewife? doomed for a life of misery and regret? the thought alone made her want to retch.

so, to calm her mind, arabella set off on a venture to find something that made her happy. to say she found a bass on her first, second or even twentieth try would be a lie. she went through basketball, flower-pressing, sowing, woodworking and so many more things, but not a single one struck her fancy.

eventually she found an old beat down ukulele at the farmer's market that someone was giving away for free, and she thought "why not?" arabella wasn't even seriously planning on learning, if anything she just wanted to learn some cool tunes and party tricks. it took a while, and many bloody fingers, but arabella eventually got the hang of it and even found herself wanting to play.

arabella finally found the courage to ask her parents for a proper guitar, and even though it took them a good amount of convincing, they finally let up and bought her one. the problem was, they didn't buy arabella a guitar, they bought her a bass. arabella was frustrated, upset even, she had wanted a guitar. sure they were similar, but they weren't the same.

but arabella was good, respectable daughter. she didn't complain.

she was still stubborn though, so it took her a while to accept the bass as a bass, and stop playing it like a ukulele or a guitar but once she did she found herself liking the instrument even more. she would spend all day playing and practicing, sometimes forgetting over even missing certain duties. sure, she felt guilty about not doing her part, but for the first time ever, arabella felt free. like she wasn't constrained by anything.

her skill was recognized by a visiting stranger who introduced her to stargaze high, where, despite the reluctant acceptance of her parents, arabella went on to attend high school, even joining a school band as their main bassist.
