01 - A book with the word "leap" in the title
I feel like a keep it simple option might be a book with the letters L, E, A and P somewhere in the title. I have zero books that fit right now.
I scrolled through the listopia and I love a mystery. I think I'll be reading
, and I plan on reading the first two books in her Martha Millers series as well.
I have nothing that actually has "leap" in the title, so I'm probably going to go with finding the letters in the title. Hopefully in order at least? The League of Lady Poisoners: Illustrated True Stories of Dangerous Women
Laura Dean Keeps Breaking Up with Me
I think One Giant Leap: The Impossible Mission That Flew Us to the Moon by Charles Fishman sounds pretty interesting. I never heard of it until now but that's why I do this reading challenge, to learn about books I never would have gone looking for otherwise.

secLudEd cAbin sleePs six = It's even got LEAP in the correct order.

I don't have any books with Leap in the title and my library only turned up self help books. I did find this on Amazon though: The Cat, the Cash, the Leap, and the List. The kindle version is currently on sale for $.99 so I'm going to take that as a sign. lol
Leap of Destiny, book 5, Not Alone series. It's about UFO's & aliens. I havent read this series yet, a friend recommended it to me.
Decided to go with One Giant Leap: The Impossible Mission That Flew Us to the Moon as well. It's kind of out of my wheelhouse since I don't read astronaut books and when I saw this on the list I decided to look for others, but found myself coming back to this one.
Leap by Terry Tempest Williams - " With Leap , Terry Tempest Williams, award-winning author of Refuge , offers a sustained meditation on passion, faith, and creativity-based upon her transcendental encounter with Hieronymus Bosch's medieval masterpiece The Garden of Delights ."Book was also, published in 2000.
Karen, I saw that book come up and I considered it. I still might at some point even though I have this prompt filled.
I may, for the first time ever, give Danielle Steel a try in this prompt. Something I'd never do otherwise.
Karen wrote: "Leap by Terry Tempest Williams - " With Leap , Terry Tempest Williams, award-winning author of Refuge , offers a sustained meditation on passion, faith, and creativity-b..."Ooh, thanks for that! I like her other 2 books I've read, so I will go for this.
Otherwise, I was thinking I might have to read a kids' book for this prompt as I was having a hard time coming up with adult options.
I was not super excited about any of the books coming up (altho a couple came close), so I decided to expand the prompt a bit... it's obviously giving a nod to Leap Year, which only comes every four years, so I think a book about time travel or similar could work (FOR ME). Imagine my excitement when I came across Oona Out of Order, which is about a woman who lives her life (you guessed it) out of order ... and while the word LEAP does not appear in the title, it *DOES* appear in the summary! meh, close enough!
Wow people like using "Leap of Faith" as a title. I think I've now looked at every book in existence with leap in the title. I spied Once Upon a Leap Year on UK NetGalley if that's relevant to any of you.
Whoever added The Flea Palace (the fLEA Palace) to the listopia - awesome idea and good eye!!! Most likely going to be the one I read for this prompt!
Was scrolling through Netgalley and saw this being published in February- might end up choosing this one.Death at Lovers' Leap

Some of Tony Hillerman's novels include "A Leaphorn & Chee Novel" under the title. Some of his daughter Anne's books include "A Leaphorn, Chee & Manuelito Novel". I haven't read
yet, so I will probably go with that.
I am going to read Leap of Faith by Paige Powers. It is a romance book and only 116 pages so it should go quick.
None of the books with the actual "leap" in the title spoke to me, so I have decided to interpret this prompt a bit freer and to search for the books with "L", "E", "A" and "P" in the title (in the correct order though). If you are struggling like me, these are the books from my to-read shelf that fit the criterion:The Golden Apples of the Sun
The Lady in Gold: The Extraordinary Tale of Gustav Klimt's Masterpiece, Portrait of Adele Bloch-Bauer
Let's Pretend This Never Happened: A Mostly True Memoir
Why I'm No Longer Talking to White People About Race
Letters of Note: An Eclectic Collection of Correspondence Deserving of a Wider Audience
A False Report: A True Story of Rape in America
Unfollow: A Journey from Hatred to Hope

Since we chose Lucky Leap Day I decided to look it up at my library to see if I had to request it to get it for february....BUT they don't have it! UGH! Now I'm gonna have to find something else. I actually wanted to read that one too.
My therapist recommended Pema Chodron to me, so I read Taking the Leap: Freeing Ourselves from Old Habits and Fears.
Love the creativity and interpretationThanks! It is not my idea though, it was mentioned here before (:
I'm really struggling with this one. I personally don't want to expand the prompt but I can't find a book on the list that compels me, other than the Martha Miller Mysteries one, but I can't find those books in my area (Victoria, AUS) without paying a high price
I searched the library ebook selection for Leap and wasn't particularly excited. The first book I tried, Lily's Leap was terrible - so bad that I had to DNF, but then I found this book and it was fantastic:Leap by Z. Egloff
Would also work for the following:
- A bildungsroman book
- A book set 24 years before you were born if you were born in 2003 (it's set in 1979)
- A book set in a travel destination on your bucket list if you want to go to Ohio
- A book with an enemies to lovers plot
- An LGBTQ+ romance novel - not really a romance novel but does have an LGBTQ romance in it

Same thing happened here! Luckily my library has it on hoopla, though.

I'm going to indulge my natural world nerd and readWhen the Wild Comes Leaping Up: Personal Encounters with Nature
I can't bear to read another romance or a self-help book, so I'm going with Jeeves and the Leap of Faith by Ben Schott. A mystery is always my style!
Before You Leap by Keith Houghton. It started off shaky but then got twisty and I was into it! Another prompt met. Also shaky narrated
I read Leap In: A Woman, Some Waves and the Will to Swim. Nonfiction. 5 stars. The title should be, " Everything You've Ever Wanted to Know about Swimming, but You were Afraid to Ask."
I also recommend Stag's Leap: Poems! Sharon Olds has never ever let me down. This may be blasphemy to some, but I like her even better than Mary OliverHigh praise indeed.
I read Once Upon a Leap Year, since the prompt was designed around having 29 February this year.A romance, which is not really my thing, but this was perfectly pleasant. The author uses emails etc, to convey what's happening between leap years which worked well as a device. A different kind of sub-plot, which worked, but a major scene which really didn't get resolved spoilt it a bit for me. The characters were about the age of my elder daughter, so it was a bit of a reflection on life.
Not that keen on this prompt, but I'm going to read Taking the Leap: Freeing Ourselves from Old Habits and Fears

I LOVE that they are giving a nod to the Leap Year. I have NO IDEA what I'll read.
