Drace (dracenines) | 7528 comments The paperback edition of A Different Darkness and Other Abominations by Luigi Musolino (ISBN 9781954321748) has had its publication date changed to an incorrect date for some reason. It was published November 8, 2022, the same day as the hardcover and Kindle editions. Both the publisher's website and Worldcat corroborate this. Could somebody please change it to the correct date?

Wow, you spotted this quickly. This was a Madbot Special on the 15th. Changes reverted. Please allow at least 20 minutes for the changes to display, much longer if you are using the app.

Could you please mark [done] or similar when the changes take effect.

Slightly belated, but thank you so much for the help!

There's a few other minor issues I noticed with the book; should I add them here in this thread or mark this one complete and start a new one?

You can add here if you want, but I have finished doing edits for the day.

If no one else gets to it, I can look at tomorrow.

Sounds alright to me!

Hardcover Edition (A Different Darkness and Other Abominations, ISBN 9781954321731):

- The ASIN needs to be added. It's 1954321732.

- He's not listed on the cover, but James D. Jenkins needs to be added with the Translator role. (He's on the title page of the book which you can see in the Amazon free sample if you need to see proof.)

===

Kindle Edition (A Different Darkness and Other Abominations, ASIN B0B9HQCQ6M):

- James D. Jenkins needs to be added with the Translator role.

===

Paperback Edition (A Different Darkness and Other Abominations, ISBN 9781954321748):

- Brian Evenson needs to be added with the Introduction role.

- James D. Jenkins needs to be added with the Translator role.

Thanks again for all your help!

Carol She's So Novel꧁꧂ | 2324 comments Ok, done other than I haven't put the ISBN10 in the ASIN field. I'll check with another librarian if we are meant to do that, but I think that is just done by the bots.

If this book is a translation, can you tell me the original title please.

Please allow at least 20 minutes for the changes to take effect, more if you are using the app.

Edit found the post by the previous Mod, so was going to add the ISBN10, but I can't as it is used by a deleted edition. You can contact Support if you want about this, but I think having the field filled in stops duplicates, so IMO not necessary.

The way I understood it was that librarians recently began putting the ISBN-10 in the ASIN field to prevent the bot from putting Kindle ASINs in other editions' empty ASIN fields.

The short stories in this edition are translated from Italian, but it is an original English-language book. There is another short story collection from the same author with the same name in Italian (Un Buio Diverso), but they are not the same collection and have different tables of contents. A Different Darkness and Other Abominations is the original title.

Carol She's So Novel꧁꧂ | 2324 comments Ok I'll add that info in the comments on the edit page. :)

&, just in case you didn't see on the previous post, that ASIN field is filled in on a deleted book, so I can't add. Since the field is now blocked, I guess that means no one can add incorrect info.

If you are happy with my response, could you change [incomplete] to [done] please.
