I started reading on Nov 1 and it's like journal entries so I'm only reading on each day until probably the last week of Dec (since the book goes to Feb but I'm not carrying it into 2024). Today I started my first book of the challenge .

I'll also keep a tally of non-Christmas books read.

I'll choose the Mistletoe level since this wasn't on my radar until this week. Of course I'll participate in Fa La La Films! I've already watched a couple of Hallmark Christmas movies this week.

I always want to read more Christmas books, so this will give me the push I need to choose those over non-holiday fare!

I *might* be Christmased out, in the fact that I have a lot of holds coming in from Libby that are not Christmas books. lol. I did finish and also read so I've read 7 which is higher than the highest level. And I'm still reading . So I'm not going to bend over backwards to try and get another in. I'll just focus on my Libby queue!

And I'm trying to get 2 more categories read for Castle Macabre's I Read Horror Year-Round Reading Challenge. Unfortunately, I won't get around to reading this year for 'set in the past' (yet again). But I'm hoping to fit in (debut horror) and (fairy tale retelling)!

I really loved and that was my first Kingfisher novel. WMTD is so short, I *have* to fit it in this year! lol

The holiday season is always evident during this challenge. Not as many updates, growing tired of Christmas reads. lol

I managed to read two Christmas books and that's going to be it for me.

Just a handful of days left. Hope the reading is going well, even if you're no longer reading holiday books. I have a historical romance to read for review (as a favor...I do not normally read that genre) and I'm going to try to squeeze in one more horror novel. We'll see. lol

Awesome! I watched a lot too. Every new Hallmark movie except for one or two. Plus a few older ones. And then old favorites like A Christmas Carol, White Christmas, Elf, etc.
