I loved Newt, and I hated Thomas for killing him. (Even though he told him to.)
But Newt asked him and you know it was the right thing to do. He did not want to hurt them.
i'm not at all surprised on the path that they took his story. i mean he was dealing with so much from his injury in the maze when he couldn't be a rune anymore so i think that while it woudl have been very 'american' to give him a happy ending of being something great - i think that to keep some sense of 'reality' - he needed to be the one that wasn't immune and decide his own destiny.

I still wish it hadn't happened and it wasn't him, because his death hit me hard. It's been over 3 years since I last read the book, and I've only made it half way to being in peace with it. Half of me is and half of me isn't.
Well remember he did not want to not hurt anyone so he asked that's one of the many things I like about him.

This is for the first book, and in the first book or second book which I also read there is nothing about that!!!!?????
