I would definitely still choose reading. I love imagining the characters and the places myself and this freedom of imagination is what I always love the most about reading. So for me, I would still pick to read the next book.
I can't choose between them because it really depends on the quality bc majority of the time it's reading but franchises such as the Harry Potter franchise I feel are much better as movies but overall reading is on top
Read first and then decide if I wanna watch the movie. I really do believe some books would translate better as a movie/show and the other way around.

Neither would I, I meant if there is a written book and technology would allow us to either read or create visuals based on what is written like a animated version, would you then?

It is like now anyone now write on paper in high school, everything submitted digitally. The art of calligraphy is lost forever!

That's all I did growing up. My best friends were the collections of hundreds of book that I read. It was the most peaceful and fun time of my childhood. I still read, but the feel I have had, I just can't get it back. So, enjoy the great reading times, while you can. Thanks for the lovely comment.

But reading to me is just priceless most of the times.
Well, honestly, in my experience, the movies miss out on a lot of crucial details. They are movies after all. Especially in the Hunger Games Series.... the movies missed out on a lot of funny details and events.
I think there will be no alternative to have a same joy as reading for a while. Main reason, in my opinion we all process the information at our own pace as we read the book, sometime we go fast over a paragraph, sometimes we just ponder upon a sentence, and sometimes we just go over and over a phrase, before going forward. This seems a little difficult when watching movies. At least, this is how I read.
Read. At least read first. Reading lets me use my imagination. Watching does all the work for me.If it's really a good read, I usually want it to be turned into a movie or series.

If you had a choice to whether watch or read your next book, which format would you choose?
