Natalie I picked this book up on the whim without knowing anything about it and it turned out to be my favourite book I read last year. It was funny, interesting and kept me guessing. I find most books I read I can easily foresee where the story will end up going but with this one I couldn't guess. I also read Jonasson's second book The Girl who saved the King of Sweden which I enjoyed as well. His style of writing was so refreshing and would 100% recommend this book to anyone.
Has anyone else read it and what did you think?

Fabulous & so very clever. I love clever! I laughed the whole way through.

bubblegumpopper I loved it. I also knew nothing about it going in and was just intrigued by the cover and odd title. I often laughed out loud. I haven't read his second book yet, but I will definitely have to add it to my to-read list.

Melissa Kelly I really liked this book also! I had no expectations when going into it but loved the cover art and the bizarre name! I couldn't fathom a guess as to what it would actually be about. It was funny, and heart warming. I've not read his second book as of yet as I wasn't too interested in the sound of it, but if it's decent, I may well give it a go!

Sarah "Pippy" This book has made it to my favourites shelf. Really enjoyed it and as I said in my review I loved how it seemed that Allan was bimbling backstage only to enter front stage and pull off many great improvisations in his lifetime, with each new event. Great unpredictable story. I have yet to read The Girl Who Saved the King of Sweden but it is sat there in my bookcase waiting to be read.

Susan Excellent book, very clever. On my best of 2015 shelf.

Ella Cipolla Loved both of them :)

Denise Loveless Reading it the seocond time was not as enjoyable as the first time. I found it boring and ridiculous even though some parts were funny. The movie is not worth watching.
