I don't know why but i believe verity, people comment on why she faked her illness and forget about the fact that jeremy crawfords story does not add up?
verity probably faked her illness so that she could be with her son, and if she really did kill her daughter(s) wouldn't the police find out?

Completely agree. I believe Verity 100% despite it being quite excessive to fake her illness. Once things became weird, she could have woke up but then we would not have the wild ending! :)
im not sure, she did act sort of intimated or hostile whenever lowen was around, it must have been because of her infatuation with jeremy and possibly feeling envious.
