Are the Once Upon a Broken Heart series and Caraval series interconnected ?

OUABH series takes place after Caraval :) I'm on book 2 of Caraval and I recommend you read that series first

I read the OUABH series and I’ve just ordered Caraval, I didn’t know until now that they were connected, is it really horrible to read them the wrong way round?

It's not, you're just missing some little things but it's fine to read it the other way around
