message 2: by Tayjah (new)

Tayjah I hate fake “enemies to lovers” trope. Where one of them don’t actually hate the other. Don’t market your books as enemies to lovers if they don’t actually hate each other.

megan | 84 comments romanticised abuse or toxic men that get called "gray"

message 5: by Tayjah (new)

Tayjah I agree with Megan. I hate when someone says that it includes a morally grey character but the said character is just a straight up villain.

Eesha ❤️ romance | 114 comments cheating, miscommunication, and when they keep pushing the other person away for no reason

Soyas.Readingpalace | 13 comments cheating, miscommunication, other person who causes problems between two characters, bullies to lovers (especially when the bully says that he/she loved the main character the whole time and only bullied them to get their attention), toxic relationsships, MMC who are too possessive and controlling, unnecessary third act breakup

Cheating, like when they start loving each other but then stop because they like someone else. I also hate when they person you love dies.

Biggest thing right here. 99% of “enemies to lovers” is just plot convince and miscommunication

❃A.J❃ (bibliophagist) | 16 comments - Explicit covers are a huge turnoff. I can't even showcase them on my bookshelf.
- Age gap trope especially if it's Teacher X Student
- Real people on covers

Elisha | 1 comments After reading a few not so good book lately, my list could go on forever but here are a few:

I hate it when it claims to be a slow burn romance and its anything but slow, and they get together in the first 100 pages.

Also bullies to lovers, WHY are we dating our bullies? Especially when they actually try to abuse the FMC...

When they have multiple love interests and the guys are all within the same group. Like she'll be sleeping with one friend, the other is there for emotional support, another friend hates her and the final one she can see herself with, why does this need to happen?!
