I am a Leo fan. I have so much hope in him, and I can't wait to find out the deal with Jason. Everyone's so weird about who he is. I think I got that he's Jupiter's son, but I don't understand why that's different from being Zeus' son.

I'm listening to an audiobook to catch up and have no idea what chapter I'm on.

I love the new characters so far, and I love the idea of there being two different camps for the Roman and Greek versions of the gods. I don’t know much about the Roman gods, but I hope we learn more about them later on.

Why do the Roman and Greek demigods fight so much? It doesn’t make sense to me. They could’ve been working together the whole time and making it easier for both groups.

It was nice to see/hear Clarisse’s name! I grew to love her near the end of the first series, and I hope we get to hear from her in the future. I doubt it though.

I don’t see Percy being with a militaristic group at all! He doesn’t do well with discipline 😭 (hide spoiler)]

Why is the arrival of a son of Neptune a bad omen? Is that a common thing in Roman mythology? I'll have to look that up.

Wait, I don't understand the not liking the sea thing! I get the earthquake but it seems like there was mistrust before then. What's wrong with the sea?

Hazel is so interesting! I didn't think I would be more into the new characters' stories than Percy's, but I am!

I agree with Percy. Octavian definitely killed that girl. He gives the worst vibes.

New Rome is such a great idea. The Greek demigods need something like that because if I was Percy, I wouldn't want kids. Look at how often he was attacked just going to school.

I think Percy deserves to have a role like praetor but are Jason and Percy gonna stay swapped forever??

I still am at 26% of The Lost Hero, and I've just gotten to the point where we learned that (view spoiler)[Jason is Jupiter's son, and that Piper is Aphrodite's, although I didn't see that last one coming. I don't know how this difference between the Greek/Latin versions of the gods will play out. It confuses me a little bit. (hide spoiler)]

It's interesting how Percy, Hazel, and Frank all have their loyalty tested by someone--Percy by Juno, Hazel by Gaea, and Frank by Iris. Hazel's test seems more unfair than Frank's and Percy's. Look what Gaea has done to Hazel's life, and Gaea just keeps going.

I finished the second book and I'm still confused. Hopefully, it makes more sense to us later on in the series.

I am really enjoying this story. I do feel lost at times as i have only read The Lightning Thief. Its ok because I will go and read the other ones. Its certainly not taking away from my enjoyment.
I am at Chapter 15.
@aikaterine I too was also surprised by who claimed Piper. I really do like Leo and enjoy finding out his back story but I have a sneaky feeling that someone is going to manipulate him for bad actions.
I wish I had more time everyday to read. Hopefully by the weekend i can start the second one.

I didn't really enjoy this like I thought I would. It took too long to get to Annabeth's quest, and I was more interested in that than anything else tbh. I was just a little disappointed.
