This is a thriller set during Hurricane Katrina. Clair and her dog are trapped on a roof while churning water continues to rise. They are “rescued” by two men with the perfect opportunity. Very dark beginning but ends bright. On KU : )TW's rape, murder, domestic violence and kinda sorta animal abuse, but not really.

I published my first novel in August, I called it a romance however one of my reviews said it was a psychological thriller :) It has a little spice but the trigger warnings would be sexual assault.
