Megan (megs25) | 12 comments This is a fanfiction book by Archieve of our Own user JAWorley. It can be found here: https://archiveofourown.org/works/440...

Book length: 114,773 words (approximately 256 pages)
Book Summary: “ Iron Dad: Coming Home - Cold, tired, hungry, and homeless, 14 year old Peter Parker gets taken in by Adrian Toomes and his crew. Mr. Toomes is a great guy who teaches Peter how to survive on the streets, and Peter loves him for it, despite that Mr. Toomes hates Peter’s hero Iron Man and says Tony Stark is out to line his own pockets by stepping on the little guy. When Iron Man appears one day and presents Spider Man with an opportunity too good to pass up, Peter finds himself having to make up his mind about what ‘helping the little guy’ really means. Peter also begins to find out some ugly truths about the things Adrian Toomes and his crew are making, and has to decide if the safety Toomes offers is worth throwing Spider Man’s mission and morals out the window. Can he find that same safety with Mr. Stark? So much of Peter’s future hangs in the balance and depends on the choices he makes. An anti-hero and an anti-villain are just one step over the same line in a different direction.”
Book cover art is attached to chapter 1 of story.

Megan (megs25) | 12 comments You guys are really horrible about this. You have got to get better about responding or just go back to how it used to be when we could add stories/books ourselves.

Thanks, lashing out at volunteers must be a great way to get help.
I can understand your frustration, but this is not a great way.
As for adding the fic, I'm not well enough versed in the rules about fan fiction to add it, so I'll have to leave it to someone else.

Linde | 6549 comments Hi Megan, thanks for your patience as we work through the tremendous backlog. As this is a fanfic, many librarians do not add it, as there are some extra rules. As all librarians are volunteers and there are no guidelines in which order to pick up requests, it can differ from 5 minutes to 6 months (looking at 'last activity', it used to be waaayyy more). I'm working from oldest to newest requests =D This can mean that bumping can sometimes be counterproductive, even though it is definitely allowed once a week.
Also see "Why hasn't my request been completed? I see lots of other recent requests which have been": https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...
Do you want to help? Apply to be a librarian: https://www.goodreads.com/about/apply...

With regards to your A03 request: Great that you included the link. I've added the book without a cover*, you can find it here: https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/2...

* Cover: we can't use social media platfroms for images (copyright issues)
* Date Published: I put when it was completed (just like with printed books)
* Page count: I've done word count / 325 (rounded up)
* Note: we do remove fanfiction at the author's request (notes of the book + author profile do not say anything about not wanting their book added to Goodreads right now, so I was able to add it)

Megan (megs25) | 12 comments Thank you so much, Linde.
I really appreciate your help. And I will definitely look into becoming a librarian/volunteer to hopefully help with the backlog.
