Capn | 354 comments Hello, and thank you in advance for your help.

I was interested in Goblin Pages (should really be "The Goblin Pages"...), and was put off by the author's blurb (American female Self-help Evangelist?! Really? Well, no..). I became suspicious that this was another Jamie Ivey (a British male, living in France)...

I don't know a thing about him, but I tracked down some credible sources to flesh out an incomplete bibliography of sorts:

Goblin Pages - first children's novel
Extremely Pale Rosé: A Very French Adventure - first book, according to MacMillan (see link below)
Rose En Marche: Running a Market Stall in Provence
La Vie En Rose
and also:
Provence : hillside villages, local food & wine, coastal escapes https://www.worldcat.org/title/113240...
&
"House Dad in Frogland" - I can't find this anywhere but mentioned on a blog (https://perfectlyprovence.co/catching...). Maybe never published.

MacMillan has two of his books listed: https://us.macmillan.com/author/jamie...

His blog is apparently here, but I can't get the page to load , so... use caution?:

Similarly, The Goblin Pages was published by The Book Guild, and I can't get their page to load for me, either (it might be my computer, I don't know): https://www.bookguild.co.uk/ / https://www.bookguild.co.uk/bookshop/...

Anyway, decidedly a different person to the other lady! :)

Thanks again for sorting this - I'll add more info if I find it. :)

update: Amazon has the correct bio

About the Author
"Jamie Ivey lives in the South of France with his wife and three daughters. He is the prize-winning author of five books on Provence. His work has been published worldwide and translated into multiple languages. The Goblin Pages is his first children’s book. So far, it’s been unreservedly praised by just two of his children. The third, the eldest, while rating it a good read is insistent that any future books must contain more horses."

"I am Jamie Ivey. I moved from England to Provence over 15 years ago to write a series of travel books. I live in the Luberon village of Lourmarin with my wife and three daughters who were all born in Provence. I work as an author, journalist and blogger (www.provenceguru.com). Twice a year I lead the Provence Guru Best of Provence small group tour of the region's top sights and vineyards. My work has been published worldwide and translated into multiple languages. My latest book The Goblin Pages is my first children’s book. So far, it’s been unreservedly praised by just two of my children. The third, the eldest, while rating it a good read is insistent that any future books must contain more horses."

Arenda | 26447 comments There was already an author page for the British Jamie Ivey. I've moved The Goblin Pages to that author page: https://www.goodreads.com/author/list...

Capn | 354 comments Thank you. I couldn't find it - sometimes the search function is... sporadic. (I often use Google to search Goodreads... yeah). Thank you for delineating these.

Arenda | 26447 comments Finding a specific author profile can indeed be difficult.
Instead of the search function, you can also use the "add book/author" function that is at the top of the box when typing a comment in a group.

Here I've chosen to "add" the author to my message, but in the "add book/author" function, the author name is also a link that takes you to the author page.

GR separates author profiles with the same name by adding an extra space between first and last name. The British Jamie Ivey has 2 spaces between first and last name.

Capn | 354 comments Yeah, that's exactly the function I frequently have problems with. It's almost as if the "add book/author" algorithm is different from elsewhere, and sometimes I can't even get it to call up a famous book - I then use the search bar on another tab, find the book, highlight and copy the ISBN, and plug it back into the "add book/author" HTML one.

Drives me nuts. ;)
