Yeah! And there are 7 main characters: Sep, Beetle, Jenna, Nicko, Snorri, Ullr, Marcia. I count them as main characters because they seem to be the ones all together on most of the adventures. Plus, these are all the characters that are close friends and kind of close ages as Septimus. Plus Marcia, since she's really important.
