I finished the whole series(view spoiler)[It was soooooooooo gooood! I knew it from the start! Jacks is a walking red flag. But he's hot ok? We shall ignore it. Honestly in the first book, i kinda felt sorry for Apollo but after finishing the series, can he like...dissapear? Eva was so annoying at first but i adore her now. I feel like with so many morally gray characters these days, we hardly get to see someone like Eva, with clear morals, and she acts on them too! (hide spoiler)]

I ended up rating it a 4 but it is more like a 4.25. I enjoyed the beginning and the end but I was not captivated enough by the middle of the book. The ending was insane. I truly thought it was gonna end with Caster biting her would have also been a great ending. Kind of twilight esk though LUL.

I also didn't even wonder who Chaos actually was but then it all clicked on why he and Jacks were such good friends. I feel almost bamboozled.

I am down to read the next book as soon as everyone gets it. I don;t have it yet, but I will.

Tbh I hadn't even thought of who Chaos could be. I didn't even think that was something I should think of lol. I do think Lala's Dragon shifter is now another Valor though. Also are all the Fates from that timeframe? How does one become a Fate? I don't know if I'm missing some context from Caraval or what

I am totally down for the next book too! But will probably be January until I can get it :(

Good question. I just assumed Fates are a kind of "Gods" since Evangeline prayed to Jacks at the beginning of book 1. But I can be wrong, maybe we are missing some Caraval context.

I also want to read the 3rd book! I haven't read it yet. I already loaned it from the library, so if you guys don't mind I'm going to start reading it already because I have to return the final book by December 21st. But I'd love to discuss it with you once you guys start reading it!

I can change the topic to the final book and set the date for January 1st, if that's okay for you.

Yes I figured the Fates are gods too, but since Jacks and Lala and Chaos all had previous lifes, it stands to reason that they somehow became a god right? Like they had to be made this way, not just born?

Yeah of course go ahead with reading it! Changing the book would be good but maybe just make the date January instead of January 1st? Don't know when exactly I'd get the book haha (will be beginning of January though)

Oh yes indeed, maybe we'll find out more in the final book? I suspect we'll get more backstory on Jacks and maybe it'll be explained then.

I finished A Curse for True Love and I'm already going to put my thoughts here so that I don't forget them once you guys start reading it. I just have to say: you're in for a treat, enjoy!

(view spoiler)[Decent finale for a nice series! I was hesitant about the different povs at first, but I feel that it actually worked here. Kinda sad we didn't have more Jacks in this book, I'd also have liked it if there was more backstory of him.
I might have missed it, but it wasn't really explained how Evangeline survived Jacks's kiss? I looked it up and I read somewhere that true love breaks the curse, so that's why she didn't die. Tbh, I actually expected a little bit more, it felt a bit anti-climactic to me. However, I'm so happy Eva & Jacks are finally together. I've been rooting for them since book 2.
All in all, very nice, fast-paced series. I'm glad I read it! (hide spoiler)]

I am getting into it slowly. I read a lot of books at once and so I am just 40 pages in. I may be further by Tuesday. I do like that it starts right where it left off which helps me with my memory. lol

I forgot to post that I finished the book. I really liked this one. It took me a minute to get into it but that is also what happens when you are someone that reads 3-5 books at a time. I am sad to see our buddy reads end though.

I absolutely hated Apollo the moment his POV appeared in the story. LUL. I was thrilled when Eva's memories came back. Also, loved the way Jacks loved her. Even his snarkiness was less in this book, which was enjoyable. I loved the role of the Valors in the ending, it was truly inspiring to know despite their power, they have learned from their mistakes. Well except for Aurora of course. I gave this a 5 stars on GR and a 4.75 on Story Graph. If we had a POV from Jacks in the first 50 or so pages while he was creeping on her that would have made it absolute perfection. At first I was like ok Apollo is bad, but could be worse... and then nope it got worse lol. Jacks and Eva were so cute, I love them. I think Jacks was less snarky because he didn't need to try so hard to keep her away since she didn't remember. I have a feeling there's going to be a spin off around the Valors and a Lala/Castor/dragon shifter love triangle.... but I don't know whether they have truly learned their lesson lol
