I just read Something Light recently and enjoyed it! and I was just able to order Storm from the West from my library -it'll be next year by the time it arrives.

I rounded up from 3.5 because I love the author’s biting wit, and homage must be paid to the genius who blessed the world with the Lucia series!

This was short, only about 140 pages in my ebook, more a series of sketches of types; Luciaphiles will recognize many characters and plot ideas that went on to hilarious fruition in that later series. Degree of cattiness varied, from mildly bitchy to downright vicious; I found it a funny, quick read, but without the depth of his later novels.
