Greek Fairy Tales by Barbara Ker Wilson (first book I can recall reading over and over. Reading joy started here!)
Catch-22 by Joseph Heller (inspired me to read)
The Pugilist at Rest by Thom Jones (inspired me to write)

As an adult, many books have made an impact on me as a reader. I have thought about Gloria Naylor's "Women of Brewster Place" quite frequently.

I actually have three.
1. The fault in our stars which was the first book I ever read. Had it right when it came out. John Green became my favourite author and now i've read literally all his books. Just need one to complete my collection.
2. The alchemist which was the first Paulo Coelho book I read and it honestly made me fall in love with his writing.
3. Veronika decides to die again Paulo Coelho. I love how he brings out issues and he explains it in his writing that yk everybody is crazy and it's not only a few people who are insane.

As an adult, The Divine Comedy and The Giving Tree.

I so identified with the main character that it kinda messed me up (in a good way). And of course, the climax/culmination of the story is so beautifully done, that I occasionally dream of writing something that perfect.

• Animal Farm by George Orwell
• The Alchemistby Paulo Coelho
• Suicide Notes by Michael Thomas Ford
Dianetics because now I am a scientologist and I will be murdered if I leave.
