Zara Steen (zarasteen) | 12 comments Hey all! I'm also up for reading and reviewing. I have my first YA Fantasy Romance Book that I'm hoping to get some honest reviews on. I'll send messages to those of you who are looking to read. :) Anyone who has a book they are hoping for an honest review on, feel free to connect with me. I prefer PDF or ePub, not particular on the genre but I love paranormal and fantasy romance. Thanks.

I'm an open reviewer and If you have a book that you would like for me to give an honest review let me know!
I Love basically every genre, but I do request that any book you send my way has at least a little bit of romance in it.
My preferred format is epub or mobi.
Please PM me, I look forward to your requests (if there are any) Thanks!

Dustin Bilyk | 10 comments Well my novel Tournament of Hearts isn't exactly romance heavy, but if anyone is interested I am more than willing to offer up the ebook for an honest review.

I can be reached on here or by e-mail at dustinbilyk@gmail.com

Also, I am interested in high fantasy, sci-fi and horror. I'm open to review swapping, but I'm currently a little behind on my reading so it would be a few months before I got around to it.

Thanks! :)

I have a high fantasy novel called Hollow's Charge that would enjoy some more reviews! It has a host of action, adventure, humor and romance, so it's a good find for anyone.

Here is a link to it on the buy site with a blurb and other reviews for you to read, if you wish: https://www.smashwords.com/books/view...

If you are interested, please respond with your e-mail and I will send you a coupon you can use to purchase the book for free.

Hi Erin,
I am the author of a fantasy/romance trilogy the Sunset Lands Beyond trilogy. I'd love your feedback on it. Will be happy to send free digital copies in the format you prefer of the first book, or all three, if it holds your interest, in exchange for honest reviews.
Thanks so much!

Hi Zara,
Would you be interested in doing a review swap? I'm a slow reader, so it may take a couple of months before I could finish your book, but I would love to read it and review it. Can provide free digital copies in the format you prefer of my fantasy/romance series.
Thanks,
Sarah

Is anyone interested in reviewing a new book that I've just finished and is due on sale next week? It's Urban Fantasy/Paranormal Romance, mostly geared towards YA and above. It's about 235 pages, give or take.

You can find the book here on Goodreads: https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/2...

And read an excerpt here to see if the entry will hold your attention: https://www.fictionpress.com/s/325493...

If you're still interested after that, send me a message and I can send any digital version you want.

Eric Ponvelle I won't name names because I don't believe in shaming people, but I want to make a note for all authors posting for reviews.

Please, please, PLEASE do not positively review books only for a positive review in return.

A writer offered a very nice review, and in return, I reviewed their work. I never hold punches, and I assume the book is complete. My review to them wasn't very complimentary (though I am never mean; I always find something worthwhile in a story). They emailed me back asking not to post this review because they didn't do any harm to my book with their review.

This is explicitly forbidden on almost every platform. Amazon doesn't, I recently learned, allow you to review a book if that author reviewed yours since it could lead to review tampering.

What disappoints me is I am an indie writer who published this book on my own with my own funds that I will probably never recoup. Reviews are my lifeblood, but also, my word is important to me since I use my real name. I cannot, with good conscience, give a review that is more positive than I honestly felt nor can I accept the same.

Please don't do this to each other.

Ingrid Banwell | 2 comments Thanks Eric, for bringing this to everyone’s attention. I’m new at this whole eBook publishing and reviewing business and have wondered if this happens. It’s great there are policies in place to stop what is essentially bribery as it keeps the reviews honest. As indie authors, without the hyperbole and backing of a publishing house with all its advertising and PR, we rely on reviews to get our books read. So our readers must be able to trust these reviews and know they are objective and trustworthy.

It's titled, The Beach at the Sea Foam Apartments, published by Three Worlds Press. I'll provide a free review copy (it's $1.49 otherwise). Message me here if interested. It's a short, and hopefully good, read.

Hopefully, I'm not out of line here. But, because I am also an indie and we all know reviews are important, I refuse to write a bad review. Though, I also refuse to write a good review for a book I think is bad. Personally, if I didn't care for the book I private message the author so they get my honest review of their book and I tell them what and why I didn't like and what I did. I'm never mean, just honest. I also read excerpts first to make sure it appears to be something I would like and looks well done. I'm all for being honest, but also don't want to write something potentially destructive. I'm hoping my honest private review may possibly help without public distraction. But, since I've been previewing before agreeing to read and review, I haven't ran into the issue anymore.

I'm agree with you, but was that directed towards me or a general quote that just so happened to get me in it?

message 72: by Eric (new)

Eric Ponvelle I think Marla was quoting both of us.

message 73: by Marla (new)

Marla Josephs | 2 comments Eric wrote: "I think Marla was quoting both of us."

Actually, I almost just did it again and hit 2 reply buttons. Didn't realize it would reply to both. But, basically I was just commenting on I think Eric's post? Just giving people an alternative if they don't want to give a bad review. I've seen review sites with the same policy. But, in answer to your question R, it was general. I just ended up quoting you both. Not really directed at anyone unless they were looking for an alternative to writing a bad review. Sorry for the confusion.

There is a prequel titled Kiss of Awakening that is free on all major retailers (Amazon, B&N, iBooks, Kobo, Google Play, and Smashwords). There are also three novels currently available for purchase I would be willing to send ebook editions of in exchange for an honest review.

Kiss of Awakening Description:

With one kiss, everything will change...
When a mysterious letter arrives from her estranged mother, twenty-one year old Kenna Blake and her best friend, Bree, make a trip to New Orleans hoping for a little Halloween fun and to get away. The mystifying Crescent City has something else in store for her though.
Cryptic messages, a hot tour guide, and a new sense Kenna can't seem to explain are just the beginning of this eye opening trip. Will Kenna accept what awakens with in her or will she crumble under its reality?

Goodreads Link:

Seduce (Book 1) Description:

Life isn’t so bad for succubus, Kenna Blake. True, she seems to be the only succubus with a conscience and a specific strategy for finding her male meals, but she has a cute new apartment, a budding graphic design business, and the most unique friends she’s ever had.

Her personal love life, however, is non-existent.

Until the legendary vampire Randal Vincent sweeps into her life. Even though he isn’t someone she set out to date, at least she can kiss him without killing him. But when you’re dating someone who’s the inspiration for Dracula, there are bound to be a few hiccups along the way…

Sophia Newtown (sophianewtown) Hi!
I've made my book available online for free till September 12, 2015 - I'd really like to get some reviews on it!
I don't know if it's girly - it has love and feeling in it, but I've intended it more like a satire, philosophy, a little bit of fantasy, and humor.
