If you're wanting to start the Caraval universe books, you should know this

So I've been seeing people who say that you need to read the Caraval Trilogy before the Once Upon a Broken Heart Trilogy, which is NOT TRUE!!!! There's no major spoilers for Caraval in the OUABH Trilogy. If you want to learn more about the world of Caraval and the Fates, then definitely start with the Caraval Trilogy, but OUABH also does a good job of summarizing that as well

yeah I've only read the first caraval book and I understood ouabh fine (I also liked it more haha)

I personally wish I had read Caraval first. There are a few spoilers in OBABH, like how it says (view spoiler)[Dontella is Jacks's one true love, and how it kind of gives away the end of Finale (hide spoiler)]. But yeah you didn't don't HAVE to read Caraval first lol. You'll just kind of know what's going to happen :)
