Leon McNair | 49 comments The book is part of Folio Society's trilogy, but I'd like them as separate books. I've been struggling to find already-existing editions (doesn't help when the ISBN isn't included in the publishing page), so I've been asking here to add them as I've been going along, and I appreciate it.

* Title:
The Return Of The King (The Lord Of The Rings #3)
* Author(s) name(s):
J.R.R. Tolkein
* ISBN (or ASIN):
Can't find in either specific book or the trilogy's book-sleeve
* Publisher:
Folio Society
* Publication date:
Folio Society first-published 1977, Reprinted 1990, 1997, 19th printing in 2020
* Format:
Hardcover
* Page count:
487 pages
* Description:

Cover-page:
https://www.goodreads.com/photo/user/...

Source of link:
It is my own photo, of my own hard copy of the book.

Thanks

Scott | 8671 comments Was it available on its own, or only as part of the set?

Leon McNair | 49 comments It was available only as part of a set (you can't buy each individual book) from Folio Society, but I'd like to add them in Goodreads individually, if that makes sense?

Scott | 8671 comments We would only catalogue them as a set, in that case.

Leon McNair | 49 comments Why not individually? Or how can I make it as individual - ask in the book cover section? Because I was able to get the first two done separately.

Linde | 6549 comments Hi Leon, if your book is only published as part of the box set, then the box set edition is the only book record we should add.
To add an item in a "version" that hasn't been published would be to add an invalid record to the database. That's why Scott asked and didn't add the separate book.
A workaround is to save another edition with the separate books. I sometimes do that myself. I look for an edition with almost the same page count.
I'm marking this as done.
