question about adding books

I was wondering if it's possible to add a book even if it hasn't been published yet. Im expecting to publish it in december or november and can I claim it as an author after?

I have the ISBN and title and all, it's just not up on sale on Amazon yet

ISBN is considered confirmation of publication and it can be added.

In order to have your expected book added to the GR catalog please follow the guidelines as per GR template How to request a book to be added to Goodreads.

Don't forget to include a link to book page which includes the cover on a NON-BOOKSELLER site, such as a publisher site, an author site, etc. If linking to a site such as Imgur, Dropbox, etc. please state the original source of the image. No B&N or other bookseller links can be used as sources for covers or other book data, with the exception of Amazon and its subsidiaries.

Once your book has been added, you will be able to claim your author profile and join the Goodreads Author Program, allowing you to add and edit information about your own books.
