Miss R I'm looking for recommendations for books suitable for teens that specifically talk about characters codeswitching (changing their language/behaviour in different settings, e.g. a character from a working class background who has a scholarship to a private school and behaves/speaks differently with their "home" people and their "school" people, or a mixed race character who changes the way they speak according to which culture they're currently in). This can be characters who do this, or characters who deliberately choose not to, or are unable to. A good example is Starr in The Hurt You Give, or Camino in Clap When You Land.
Thank you for any suggestions you give!

Stormraised | 71 comments The Hate U Give seems like sth you're looking for.

The Shadow Children series (2nd vol, boy hidding for his whole life goes to school for elites)

From other hand: Red Rising (Man from... let's say lowest class in SF society dressed as one of Elite. His adaptation isn't most important part of this - although he has to act as a friend of his mortal enemies - that's book is about strategy, technology, forming of power...
For me it's ok for teens but fair warning - no anyone shares my mind.)
